A: Fractionated CO2 for brown pigment

"Pigment FX" is a marketing term used by Lumenis to indicate a procedure using a fractionated carbon dioxide laser to even brown discolorations in the skin.  Generally, people who seek fractionated CO2 treatments are looking for improvements in (1) skin texture, (2) skin tightening, (3) skin discolorations.  These targets require a laser expert to use different laser settings to optimize the result without exacerbating downtime.

A high-quality fractionated CO2 laser can significantly improve brown spots and even skin tones using superficial settings without the down-time associated with deeper wrinkle-reduction settings.  These patients do not require high density or deep treatments and get excellent skin tone improvements with modest downtime!  Most any fractionated CO2, or fractionated erbium laser for that matter, can handle this target!
