Should I Wait Before I Have Liposuction?

I just had a baby and I want to have Liposuction done. Is it a bad idea to get done if I want to continue having 3 more kids?

A: Wait at least 6 months.

Liposuction after childbirth is no problem, but it is best to wait at least 6 months for your body to stabilize. During this time you should exercise and diet to try to lose as much weight as you can on your own. Liposuction is not a weight loss technique. Liposuction is helpful to reduce the fat in the typical feminine areas that do not respond to ordinary weight loss.

What is the Best Way of Fat Removal for Ankles and Calves?

lipo or smartlipo? is there a cheaper price for these areas?

A: Calf and Ankle Lipo one of the best areas

Liposuction of the calves and ankles is a very rewarding procedure. I make two tiny incisions, one on each side of the calf posteriorly and close to the knee to hide the incisions. a long cannula will reach down to the ankles. You can obtain a fair amount of fat. Swelling persists longer than with thigh suction. Usually a 3 mm cannula is all that you need.

How Long Do You Recommend Wearing the Compression Garment After Liposuction?

I had my flanks, back, under butt area, and a little fat under the arms done with Smart lypo. How long do you recommend wearing the compression garment? I was told 6-8 weeks with night time up to 6 months.

A: 1-3 weeks wearing compression garments

I like my patients to wear them all the time for 1 week. I use Topifoam beneath the garment as well. After that if they would like to leave them off at night, it is fine. Most patients prefer to wear them during the day when they are active. By holding the fat layer more firmly, the fat moves less and it hurts less. Will you still get a good result if you don't wear them? Sure, but you will swell more if you don't use them.
