I'm in the fitness industry and compete in Figure so I weight lift on a very regular basis. I'm concerned about placement of the implant because of how active I am but how little fat/tissue I have. What would you recommend??
With thin persons, a submuscular implant works best. The problem with women who exercise their chest muscles a lot is distortion and gravitation of the implant laterally. This is a perfect place for the use of a "form stable" or cohesive implant. Since it is essentially a solid implant, we see very little distortion. or lateral displacement. I use them for all of my patients heavily into fitness.
I have a lot of sagging and droopiness so I definitely need a breast lift but I also want large implants. I was thinking 800cc but it does not even have to be this big. Will this be impossible? I just want them to look perky and big.. however many cc's it takes to get there. Will this be possible?
You do have significant ptosis with your right breast larger than your left. I always perform both lift and augmentation at the same time. Frequently with a lift, a smaller implant will give a satisfactory result. You have a lot of your own tissue. Show the plastic surgeon the "look" you would like with photos and let him or her advise you on the implant size. Good luck.
I have seen my ps two times now and can't decide on the implant. I am already a 34c but compete nationally in bikini fitness comps and loose my boobs. I'm scared of being too big but would love to be a dd. I want the fullness on top but not fake round and to have cleavage again. I'm 5"6 120 pounds and very athletic. I know it's hard to recommend an implant when you haven't seen me but if you could what would you recommend, 371 moderate plus silicone or 450 high profile silicone? Thank you!
It is very difficult to determine which implant is best for you, but in my opinion I think the Allergan style 20 high profile implant is the best device. Based on your height and weight I would think an implant around 425 would be perfect. Remember, this is my opinion based only on your height and weight and my experience with my patients. The style 20 implant provides for more upper pole fullness and stll maintains a natural look for most patients. Good luck! Work closely with your surgeon to find the right implant for you.
