A: Botox Will Not Affect the Retina

Cosmetic Botox can safely be used around the eyelids without affecting the Retina. As an ocular plastic surgeon many of my cosmetic patients have had past retinal, glaucoma, or cataract surgeries. A: Botox or Dysport works well to decrease dynamic wrinkles

Cosmetic Botox is a marvelous way to decrease wrinkles formed by facial motion. I personally do not try to paralyze muscles but soften the lines using Botox. I want you to still be able to make facial expression while decreasing these wrinkles. These treatments need to be performed by an experienced physician who can customize the treatment to your individual needs.
