Is it common to have a breast augmentation scar one and half inches above the breast fold line? Or are most incisions right on the fold line? Did the doctor make a mistake if the scar is not on the fold line?
For our breast augmentation patients in Michigan, we often place the incision above the breast fold. This will allow you to wear a bikini, and if the bathing suit rides up your incisions will still be hidden. Also, the incision is often underneath the natural curve of the underside of the breast that way as so less visible.
I want larger breasts but I'm afraid that the scars will be obvious when I wear a swimsuit. Where and how big would the scars be if I got breast implants?
For our patients seeking breast augmentation in Michigan, we offer three typical incisions. All three - the armpit, nipple, and breast fold incision can be disguised by a bathing suit. For our breast fold incisions we place the incision above the breast fold so if your bikini rides up the incision is still hidden. If you prefer to wear fairly small bikini tops, then the nipple/areola or armpit incisions may be preferable. Find a surgeon who doesn't have a breast augmentation assembly line experience, and will take extra time to try and minimze your incision visibility.
I have under the muscle saline smooth implants that ripple and are too firm. Before this I had silicone implants above the muscle that ruptured. They were rock hard and made me very ill. I would like to get rid of the rippling and firmness. Vitamin E did not help and I think that a 3rd surgery would do the same. Are there any real solutions to this? What about Dipulse? Thank you.
Rippling is quite common with saline implants especially near your breast fold or between the breasts. Typically, most surgeons would recommend silicone implants but you have not tolerated those very well. Some surgeons have used an asthma medication in a form that is not FDA approved to treat the condition of capsular contracture, or scar tissue, to soften the breasts. Perhaps visit with your surgeon and see if that is an option.
