My son has Alopecia Areata. How or what are the symptoms? Is it just loosing all the body hair?
Alopecia Areata typically presents with patchy hair loss in the scalp. Though the exact etiology is unknown, many different treatments have been tried with varying degrees of success. We have treated many patients with Alopecia Areata with an all natural, botanical oil product with significant improvement in scalp hair growth.
If your son has hair loss in other areas, this should be evaluated by your primary care physician or endocrine specialist since it may not necessarily be Alopecia Areata. There are several other conditions that can cause loss of body hair. Good luck.
i had a hair transplant recently (about 4 months ago) that left me with little bumps that look like goose bumps. in addition the recipient area skin seems to be raised like there is a new layer of tissue that has formed under it.
is there any specific type of laser that can help with these things? im debating between active fx and fraxel restore but im open to other suggestions. thank u for ur time!
Surface irregularities in the skin following hair transplant are a common occurrence and will often improve in time without treatment. Since you are four months post-surgery, I would not recommend laser treatment at this time. With any type of skin resurfacing treatment, you run the risk of damaging the transplanted hair follicles. If the condition hasn't resolved after a year, you should see the plastic surgeon who performed your transplant for treatment recommendations. Good luck to you.
I've used Mesotherapy now for 3 months but no significant improvement. Do you think I should give my hair more chance or try Hair transplant if could help because I have diffuse Alopecia?
I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing diffuse Alopecia. It can be a frustrating problem to treat. I have not seen any scientific support for mesotherapy in the treatment of diffuse Alopecia. For patients with Alopecia Areata, we have had success with our botanical oil treatments. It is best to have your condition evaluated by an Endocrinologist before trying any unproven medical treatments. Good luck to you, Hanaa.
