Is a Tummy Tuck my Only Option? (photo)

I am a 31 mother of two boys both delivered via c-section. I definitely am going to get a breast augmentation (not sure of saline or silicone). As far as my stomach, is there any other procedures besides a full tummy tuck that may be able to provide better results than the current state that it is in… ie, smart lipo, liposuction? I don’t want the tummy tuck scar. Thank you in advance for your replies.

A: Tummy Tuck would be best

Your photographs show that you have excess skin with stretch marks that continue well above your belly button.  There also appears to be significant laxity of the muscles of your abdominal wall.  This is due to the previous pregnancies you noted.  This means that repair must include removal of fat and skin, as well as, tightening of the muscle.  There is no good way to do this, unfortunately, without a scar.  I would caution you that the stretch marks go up so high on your tummy that it is likely there will still be some present after your tummy tuck.  You should discuss fully with your plastic surgeon how long your scar will need to be to remove all the extra skin.  It is likely it could be designed to be concealed underneath the garment you are wearing in these pictures.

Am I a Good Candidate for Abdominal and Thigh Liposuction?

I'm 43 years old with a fairly good skin tone. I'm 5"7, 137 lbs. I exercise 5 days a week and follow a healthy diet. No matter how much weight I lose, i still have fat in my abdomen and thighs. I'm considering liposuction on these areas but not sure if i'm a good candidate especially that I have cellulite in the thighs.

A: You may be a great candidate!

You have been given some great answers by the other surgeons who have responded to your questions.  Without photos it is impossible for any of use to say for sure.  Better yet, a consultation would answer the question about your cellulite being a problem or not.  One possibility is to combine liposuction with Endermologie which is a treatment used for cellulite.  These two treatment together can sometimes lead to a very desirable result.

Looking for Tips for Breast Augmentation

I'm 5'4", 115lbs and a mother of two. Please help

A: Find a good Plastic Surgeon

There are so many different ways to answer your question and many different places where you could start.  I would think that if you start by visiting with a board certified plastic surgeon, you would begin to narrow your questions and decide wether a breast augmentation is right for you. You may find that you are good candidate for a breast augmentation, or perhaps, that you would be better suited to a breast lift.  If you are have trouble finding a surgeon to meet with, this site or the American Society of Plastic Surgeons website at  "plasticsurgery.org" are good places to look.
