Since I was young I always had genetic bags under my eyes. This is something I wanted to get fixed as I felt like I always looked tired. I had my consultation with Dr. Quiroz after sending him photos of my face. After talking through some concerns I had, which included my under eye bags, lines around my mouth and general “sagging” he made recommendations. He recommended a deep plane face and neck lift and a Blephoplasty. WOW! A lot to think about. After doing some additional research I decided to move forward with his recommendations. Deep plane face lifts look more natural. I was a little nervous about going to Mexico for my plastic surgery, luckily my mom agreed to come with me. My mom and I flew to San Diego and Mr. Quiroz staff from Vida Plastic Surgery picked us up and took us to the facility. The facility included four floors, reception, the spa, recovery area and the surgery floor. I was really impressed how organized everything was for my procedure. After getting my operation my mom and I stayed in the recovery floor for 5 nights. Although the photos look painful I was very comfortable during my time in recovery. One thing to remember when you get a facelift is that you have to sleep upright for about two weeks. If you don’t your face will get really swollen! After the five nights my mom and I traveled home for the rest of my recovery. I work remote so planned on returning to work after two weeks. I didn’t actually return till three weeks as I still wasn't feeling 100% and my job requires lots of Teams meetings. Waiting for the swelling to go down and not feeling like yourself for about a month was the hardest part. Like more mental than painful. After three weeks I was able to schedule an appointment with my primary care provider to get my stitches out. I’m writing this and showing picture from about 2 months after my surgery. I still have numbness on my lower face, which isn’t painful, just feels weird. Honestly the recovery was a little harder than expected but I would definitely do it again. For me going to Mexico for the procedure was a great experience.

Dr. Quiroz performed a brow lift, lower blepharoplasty & fat transfer to my face. The entire experience has been absolutely wonderful. I live in San Diego & Vida provided full shuttle service for all my pre & post surgical appointments. I stayed in the Vida recovery suite for 2 days after surgery and received 24/7 care. Everything is in one building which makes the entire experience of going into a foreign country much easier. Dr Quiroz has 40yrs experience & the results have been better than I ever imagined they would be. The entire staff is friendly, most are bilingual so you’ll never feel like you’re not at home. Dr. Quiroz, has a uplifting silly way about himself. He is a genuine human. His confidence follows him everywhere. From my consultation to the surgery of the l deep plane facial lift and the co-2 lazier along with my stay at the Boutique recovery rooms couldn't of been more pleasurable. All my needs were met, at no time did anyone on staff say no. Quick responses and friendly care. As for the results so far i am 16 days out. every day the swelling scars are improving everyday. in 3 days i will get my stitches removed. and of course my transportation will be met with care and experience. I had a scary 2 days of such swelling that i was so swollen i could not see! But with the Quiroz regular checkups he calmed my fears. And yes slowly the swelling when away so i could see! I think at my age of 70 this will be my last big procedure, I think i may look into facial hair removal, with the dental. It is so silly to be paying La Jolla surgeon 3 times the price with minimal results that last maybe 5 years. So to wrap it up Go To Mexico!!!

I had a Lower Face and Neck Deep Plane facelift and Upper Blepharoplasty with Dr Quiroz and my experience exceeded my expectations. I live in NYC, and could not find a doctor locally who felt right and who I could afford. Researching doctors, especially those out of the country, was not easy or reassuring. Medical Tourism web sites felt like advertisements. My best resources for reviews was the VIDA website, Google Reviews, and RealSelf. I encourage you to read all of the reviews you can, and look at all of the “Before and After” pics. Is there a pattern to the reviews ? Do the reviews and pics align with your goals ?I had a telephone consultation with Dr Quiroz, referencing photos that I sent him, and it went well. Violeta, helped me schedule my surgery, gather the needed paperwork for it, and plan my trip to Tijuana. If possible, I recommend doing your consultation with Dr Quiroz in person. I didn’t physically meet him until the day before my surgery. I didn’t realize how anxious I had become leading up to the surgery without having met Dr Quiroz in person. My meeting with him was an incredible experience. He spent at least 30 minutes with me. He examined me, asked me my goals and concerns, answered my questions, listened to me, and his bedside manner washed away my stress and anxiety. I felt relieved, and I felt excited about the surgery.Rocio, the surgical coordinator, guided me through all of my paperwork and appointments. My surgery with Dr Quiroz was very successful. My swelling and pain were a lot less than I was expecting. I spent the first night after surgery in the Hospital area and I spent the next four nights at the Recovery Center. The staff at the Hospital and Recovery Center were very attentive, and they made me feel safe and well taken care of. They cleaned my wounds, took my blood pressure, and brought me food and beverages several times a day. The Recovery Center is a locked-down wing at VIDA with an attendant at the desk 24/7. The experience there felt safe and comforting. I saw Dr Quiroz after my fourth night at the Recovery Center and he removed my drain and some of my stitches. I flew back to NYC and rested and followed the doctor’s instructions. Sixteen days after my surgery I had my remaining stitches removed by my primary care doctor. I slowly returned to work about four weeks after surgery, and I would suggest waiting six weeks to allow the swelling of the wound sites where the stitches were behind your ears to become less pronounced.I did not tell any friends, family, or coworkers I was having surgery. i would suggest telling someone very close to you about your surgery so that you feel supported and don’t become paranoid wondering how your surgical results will be received.i am very happy with my surgical results. My goal was to look refreshed and less tired, and I have achieved that.
