Can Juvederm Under the Eyes Be Surgically Removed?

I have extremely lumpy areas under the eyes (tear troughs) due to Juvederm disaster, and have been told that it is a dangerous place to dissolve. Can surgery solve this? It was injected deeply, but has grown more discolored and lumpier over time. How common is this problem? Is it being reported?

A: Juvederm under eyes can be dissolved

Juvederm placed in the tear trough area can easily be dissolved with hyaluronidase. It is a simple painless injection and it dissolved within a couple days.

Good luck!

Best Long Lasting Lip Filler?

I had Juvederm injected in my lips last year. For a few weeks the upper lip look like an awning hanging over my bottom lip. What cause this to happen?

I want to get one of the fillers again. I don't want that to happen again. Do you think Radiesse last longer then the other fillers?

A: Juvederm for lips

I perform many lip treatments weekly using Juvederm Ultra exclusively. When Juvederm is placed in the right location and an appropriate amount is used, the results will look extremely natural. I like to think of proper lips as those that fit the person's face. In my hands Juvederm Ultra in the lips will last over a year and occasionally 18-24 months.

Is Juvederm Only Sold by Two Vials?

I went to see my plastic surgeon to have Juvederm added to my Rhinoplasty surgery in two weeks. I have already gotten Juvederm about a month and a half ago and its holding up well, so I just wanted a little bit to correct some very mild unevenness. He saw what I did and approved this but didn't specify the amount of Juvederm. However, the change is minimal and having had it done before I knew one vial was going to be enough.

When I went over to the financial lady she quoted me for two vials, when I asked her to double check she said they can only be purchased in 2's because thats how they're packaged. Has anyone every heard of this? Why would the packaging matter if each vial is sterile?

Normally I'd think they're just trying to rip me off but this the chair of PS at university hospitals - A very large and well known hospital in the area so I have a hard time believing it. The doctor is always busy so I didnt want to argue and just paid it but now I'm thinking I shouldnt have given up $550 so easily.

A: Typically sold as one syringe

Juvederm comes packaged as single syringes. Two come in a box but they are separately packaged. We charge per syringe and extend a discount for the second syringe if performed at the same setting. We commonly use just one syringe for a given treatment, particularly the lips.

Best,
