im looking to get this laser done on my belly. b/c i have stretch marks everywhere on my tummy. its very unwanted scars i cant ware a two piece b/c its so ugly. please somebody let me know if this is a good thing to do.
Having performed over 1,000 Fraxel restore treatments, many of which included treating stretch marks, acne scars, burns scars and other skin problems in need of collagen remodeling, I can attest that a series (at least 5) of Fraxel restore treatments will improve but nor cure stretch marks in the majority of people.
As a rule of thumb I tell patients that they can expect a 50-75% imrpovement in stretch marks after completing a series, with the understanding that there is no guarantee. Saying that Fraxel restore does not cure stretch marks ignores the fact that many people do not want or need abdominoplasty surgery- those people are simply looking for improvement and have a realistic expectation that the skin will not be perfect.
Good luck.

Which among Fraxel Restore, Fraxel Repair and Fraxel Repair "Lite" will give the best results for surgical scars?
In my experience, having performed over 1,000 restore treatments and with extensive experience with the repair, the restore is the better option. Though theoretically the repair can be done in only one treatment and would be equivalent to multiple restore treatments, sequential treatments of scars (surgical, burn, acne, stretch marks) with our hybrid restore protocol ends up with the best outcome. The recovery after each one is much easier and quicker.
Good luck!
I have bags under the eyes and considering a treatment. Do you think Fraxel will help to improve the color?
Neither Fraxel restore nor repair will completely eliminate the dark discoloration of the lower eyelids. This difficult problem is likely caused by the breakdown of red blood cell contents into hemosiderin, which darkens the skin. The restore will not have much of an effect on the color while the repair will ighten it somewhat. My opinion is based on our experience with both lasers, having performed around 1000 restore treatments and hundreds of repair treatments.
Best of luck!
