I rarely write reviews but I wanted to share my experience with Fraxel. Going through with this procedure was very nerve racking. I read review after review, terrified by the horror stories. However, after a short burst of cystic acne that left scars all over my cheeks, I was extremely self conscious of the condition of my skin. I saw a top laser specialist in Boston and he gave me very... more
Just another Fraxel horror story for all of you considering it. I had Fraxel done 1.5 months ago to treat hyper-pigmentation and scarring caused by a Juvederm filler complication (vascular compromise). Basically I had a filler injection and experienced a 1 in 100,000 rare complication causing ulceration and long-term redness. I had Fraxel to treat this problem 3 months later. Now I'm left with... more
Not bad at all. Had whole face done. Felt like an elastic band snapping on my face. Feels like a sunburn after treatment. Extremely well tolerated. First treatment today. Can't wait for more. I went to a certain doctor in Brookline Mass "the guru" of skincare most know who I am referring to for a dime size acne scar I had on my cheek from my teen years. The Dr. who performed the procedure agreed that there was no change so offered me a free Fraxel Repair treatment in January of 2009 (a $5000 value for one treatment.) This... more

I spent all weekend researching the Fraxel II treatment before my appointment on Wednesday. I spoke with my Doc on Tuesday and raised the issues that I had read about at this site, specically post-op issues, meds for pain, and downtime. I was very specific and I think I caught her somewhat off-guard with my questions. I was seriously not going to have the treatment if I didn't get specific... more
