The 1st procedure was done with a LSL procedure(scars behind and around the ears),with the platysmaplasty scar under the chin. The 2nd procedure was done a year later it took about a half an hour to complete. The scar under the chin again. It has been 5 months since the surgery. I saw the PS a month ago he said there was nothing else that could be done other than botox.I had tried botox before surgery it did not work.It also occurs to me that botox relaxes the muscle and the platysmasty tightens
Without seeing either a photo or having a physical exam, it is very hard to give you specific information. That said, it is unlikely that nothing else can be done. A revision, through your same incisions, with either further platysmal tightening from the sides and under the chin, or dividing of the platysma should help. Botox may relax the banding but is temporary. Another opinion may be of help to you. Be sure to see a board certified plastic surgeon.
I am two weeks out from neck lift surgery. Behind my chin incision, I have deep puckering to my neck. I think this was a traditional lift as he cut me behind the ears. Did something go wrong, or will it eventially smooth out?
Photos or better yet an actual exam would help in the evaluation of this problem. That said, 2 weeks is very early to make any determination of the final outcome. Patience and time will correct many of the early small irregularities seen after surgery. Follow up with your surgeon and voice your concerns. Your surgeon is in the best position to advise you.
I am able to hold off on a facelift until next year. I am keeping things at bay with Dysport and Restylane I do though have a neck problem with soft beginning of a sagging there. Uneveness from lipo 10 years ago. Which comes first for best results? The face and than the neck? I feel like the horse or the cart asking this, but I think maybe a future facelift will affect the lay of the face. Thanks
Routinely, we perform face and neck lift as one procedure. It will provide the best improvement with a balanced result! If you would be my relative I would advice against doing a necklift now and plan for the facelift next year.
