Procedures I'm known for

Rhinoplasty and Nose Shaping
Patients come to my Boston practice for both cosmetic and functional rhinoplasty surgery, as well as revision rhinoplasty surgery. The ideal nose is proportional and complements the face. Often people consider getting a rhinoplasty because their nose is overly large, the bridge of their nose is bumpy or crooked, or their nose has been damaged from an injury. I help make the changes needed along the cartilages of the nasal tip or remove a small amount of bone, which can make a big change in your overall appearance without giving you a “plastic” look. I also have extensive experience performing revision rhinoplasty, correcting anatomic and functional deformities that are present after a prior rhinoplasty procedure. Rhinoplasty is an outpatient procedure and the incisions are very well hidden inside the nostrils or outside the nostrils in the natural creases of the nose.

Total years in practice: 14

Dr. Ezzat is the medical director of The Boston Center for Facial Plastics located in the exclusive Back Bay district of Boston. He is also Director of the Division of Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery and Clinical Associate Professor at Boston University School of Medicine. Double board-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery, he specializes in plastic surgery focused on the face and neck. While he is noted to be a national and international expert in rhinoplasty, he also performs other cosmetic and reconstructive procedures within the face, head, and neck.

At the heart of Dr. Ezzat’s practice lies a strong belief in the importance of a trusting patient-surgeon relationship. An open line of communication with each patient is critical to ensuring that their individual needs are met and each procedure is a success.

Equally significant is Dr. Ezzat’s philosophy that “natural beauty is the best kind of beauty.”

“I believe that all cosmetic procedures should enhance the appearance of the face—not completely alter it,” says Dr. Ezzat. “Just as every individual's face is distinctive and complements the rest of the body, I am committed to providing a patient-centered, specialized approach to each surgery.”

Dr. Ezzat received his medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. He completed his surgical internship and residency in otolaryngology head and neck surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Ezzat was then awarded the highly prestigious fellowship at the University of California Los Angeles, where he specialized in facial aesthetic and reconstructive surgery techniques.

Today, Dr. Ezzat is deeply involved in research and development in the fields of facial plastic surgery and otolaryngology. He remains an active member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Academy of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery, serving on multiple national committees for both organizations.
He is also an assistant professor at the Boston University School of Medicine and frequently presents at medical conferences around the world. He is a fellow of The American College of Surgeons.
In recognition of this dedication to his field, Dr. Ezzat has been honored with awards such as Boston Top Docs (2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022) and Castle Connolly Top Doctors (2018 - 2021).
