About five years ago, after 2 kids and several years of breastfeeding, I had a breast reduction. I requested a tummy tuck as well. I was not a good candidate for the TT as I was still overweight. I had a full TT and I no longer seem to have a waistline. My curves are gone and my upper ab area is larger than the lower abs. Can liposuction contour my waistline? I am currently on a sensible diet and exercise program to lose my remaining lbs but I am uncertain if it will give me optimal results.
Liposuction is great for contouring the abdomen after a tummy tuck. I frequently combine these two procedures and the patients love the look that they get. It's hard to give you an exact answer without seeing you, but it sounds as though liposuction is the way to go.
My doctor is a member of the "American Society of Lipo-Suction Surgery" as well as an "American Association of Cosmetic School" associate. Does this mean he is board certified? I am having tumescent liposuction done this Friday and am just wondering...
Great question! It's important to know whether or not your plastic surgeon is board eligible or board certified before embarking on any cosmetic surgery procedure. Google the American Board of Plastic Surgery website to research your plastic surgeon. Good luck!
I am an 18 year old girl and weigh 123 pounds at 5'4". I have a waist measurement of 28 1/2", bust of 34", and hips of 36". Looking in the mirror, I feel like I look extremely disproportionate. Pear shaped, I think. I eat very healthy and walk for about an hour a day and do easy weight lifting for 20 minutes. I can't seem to loose any weight. I am now looking into lipo. I want to know if lipo can help me achieve my ideal measurements 25" waist, and 33" hips or if that's unrealistic.
It's hard to tell you whether or not liposuction will help you without actually examining you, but it is good for removing excess fat from the abdomen, hips, and thighs. Therefore, if you do have a pear shaped figure, liposuction may be really good for achieving your aesthetic goals. Liposuction can be either ultrasound assisted or standard liposuction. Since both have their own places in plastic surgery, check with your plastic surgeon to determine which type is right for you. Good luck!
