It is my understanding that there is an injectable remedy to reverse the effects of Juvederm and Restylane if a patient is experiencing unsatisfactory results. Is this true? If so, why wouldn't patients who are reporting results such as lumps and ongoing swelling, etc. be advised of a remedial option instead of waiting and suffering?
Hi Roseburg - Yes, there is a remedy to dissolve the fillers known as hyaluronidase. However, this will get rid of all of the filler and you'll lose any beneficial effects. Instead, we recommend massaging out any lumps to smooth out the filler. This way, you'll maintain the effects and get a smoother feel and appearance. Time also helps, as the filler will slowly dissolve on its own and any significant lumps may improve.
can doctors please explain plausible reactions you could have to Juvederm injected?
Reactions are mostly due to local irritation only. This can be redness, puffiness, lumpiness, and soreness. Very rarely, the area can be come infected requiring drainage and antibiotics.
What is the Cost of Juvederm? Are Juvederm injection prices expensive?
Editor Note: Check out Juvederm cost near you
Juvederm costs around $600 per syringe, but this can vary from physician to physician. Also, many physicians offer special discount when you combine fillers with Botox. Check out some before and after photos before choosing a filler and physician to inject it. Juvederm is great for wrinkles on the face and for filling out the nasolabial folds (the excess skin next to the upper lip.) Good luck!
