I am one week post op from having a chin implant. I absolutely love what it has done for my profile, and in that regard I wouldn't want to go any smaller, but from the front my face looks so much longer. It also looks like I have this rounded chin and then my cheeks come out instead of being one flush line. My surgeon tells me that as it heals I should get an increased sulcus and it should pull up on the implant resulting in less length from the front view. Is this true or is it placed wrong?
After one week, you'll still have some residual swelling. It may take up to 3 months to see the final result and then you can discuss a revision with your plastic surgeon.
can a chin implant become infected or cause jowl swelling on each side of implant, pain and tightness after 10 months.
After 10 months, pretty much anything can cause the problems that you're experiencing including a tooth abscess and/ore the chin implant. Have your plastic surgeon take a look to make sure everything is okay.
I am thinking of getting a chin implant. Think it would help? If so, what size should I get?
It appears as though you may need to have a mandibular advancement instead of a chin implant. However, it's difficult to give you exact answers without examining you in person.
