“Upper/Lower Bleph with Chemical Peel...”
Well, I had my upper and lower Bleph along with a chemical peel under my eyes done on March 13 (two days ago at this writing) and so far I look horrible. The swelling on the upper lid is pretty severe and painful. I did the low salt diet and cut out all the foods and drugs that could possibly cause bleeding (berries, garlic, fish oil, vil E, aspirin, Motrin, etc) and started taking bromelain... more
“Swelling Under the Lower Right Eye...”
I am a 55 year old healthy woman that had lower eyelid surgery 99 days ago. I still have swelling under the right eye is that common? I sleep with my head evaluate and use warm compress. When will this go away? Can I have an affection in my right eye that's swell? Also some pain in the left eye. Another question is it also common to have stitches left in your left eye that have not... more
“Absolutely Satisfying Eye Surgery -...”
My eyebrows and eyelids were drooping so badly. Could not even tell I had eyelashes they were so bad., I saw absolutely no reason not to proceed with the surgical procedure. I felt as though I always looked angry. The surgery was on my eyelids and eyebrows . I also had a chemical peel around the eyes., There was very little bruising after surgery and the stitches were removed in 10 day. After... more
I am 26 years old and have hereditary dark circles/bags. I had lower transconjunctival blepharoplasty in the beginning of December 2011. Now over 4 months later the bags are mostly gone, however under certain indoor lighting I have terrible dark marks. I am not sure whether this is bruising or what. I am not sure whether the fact that that they are MUCH more visible in certain lightings makes... more
“Go-To Doc for Eye Work - Baltimore, MD”
I didn't like the way my eyes were starting to get the sunken look and he tightened the eyelids and did a peel on the area under the lower lid. He was very professional and thorough in explaining the procedure and recovery time. He gave great instructions both pre and post-procedure. I followed his instructions and was back to work in about six days. It took about 2... more
“Blepharoplasty - Washington, DC”
It was time to get rid of the historical bags under my eyes and make myself feel good again. Had a bit of a lift of the upper eyes at the same time. Love the results - they look natural and I feel refreshed. more
“Great Blepharoplasty - Washington, DC”
Wanted to get rid of bags on eyelids and loose skin. My ex husband met me and said I look like I did when I got married to him (20 years ago). Revenge is sweet! more
“Upper & Lower Eyelid Surgery...”
I had an upper and lower blepharoplasty to correct both congenital and age-related lid sagging and excess fatty tissue. The scars are imperceptible and my vision is no longer obscured. Plus...It looks great too! more
“Devastated After Lower Eyelid...”
I went to PS for a consult on upper eyelids that were slightly drooping onto eyelashes. PS pointed out my tired look and showed me how he could also correct my bags under my eyes with a simple procedure to remove a little excess skin. I did not have a problem with the way I looked but he made me feel like I did have a problem. He made the correction seem so simple and convinced me to do it,... more
“Happy with Results - McLean, VA”
I have always had excess eyelid skin and bags under the eyes for many years. My optician recommended I look into surgery. I also wanted the excess skin under my chin removed, as I hated it more than the eyes. I interviewed four Plastic Surgeons (make sure they are board certified PS) - highly recommend everyone does this. Also, call the references they provide – very helpful in... more
“Under Eye Circles Removed, Look Like...”
At first I freaked out because of all the swelling. Additionally, my left eye healed rapidly fast with virtually no scarring. The right eye, however, got infected and needed antibiotic treatment. I truly believed I was going to be disfigured for life. But the right eye eventually caught up and now my eyes look absolutely beautiful and natural. Seriously, he removed the perfect amount of fat.... more
“How Much Swelling Should I Have...”
Had an upper bleph done two weeks ago, and although the recovery was rapid, I still feel as though there is some extra puffy skin where fat/tissue may have been removed. How much of this puffiness should I expect to go away over the next few months? It looks almost as if there should have been a little more skin removed, but it could just be minor swelling. Any input is appreciated. more
“Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty Finally...”
I had frequently been told (and noticed myself) that I had bags under my eyes from high school onward. What started out as not getting enough rest for years, was compounded by heredity. I was always tilting my head slightly upward in social settings, trying to work minimize my eyes heavy appearance. Besides probably looking a total snob, it was exhausting, physically and mentally. Flash... more
“I Had Eyelid Surgery 5 Months Ago...”
I had bags under my eyes.I always looked tired and I hated it. Five months ago, I finally had them removed. I absolutely love the result!Very little pain, some bruising and swelling under my eyes for about a week. I still see a little swelling under my left eye especially when I have a cold. But over all, I look much better than before I had the surgery. more
“Droopy Eyelids Repaired with Surgery...”
Both eyelids were droopy, the left one much more than the right one. After several years of trying diets, eye creams, magical potions and prayers, I received a recommendation for an opthamoligist who specializes in reconstructive surgery. He was the best, completely understood what was needed and did a superb job. Even a day after surgery, with red, swollen eyes, I looked better. Not like... more
“Worth It - I Was Tired of Looking...”
I was tired of looking tired and somewhat mean all the time. I'm very pleased with the results, and there's no more saggy, baggy eyes. more
“Absolutely Yes to Eyelid Surgery!...”
I went to a well-regarded surgical opthamologist, known for reconstructive surgery. I wouldn't have let any "general" plastic surgeon work near my eyes. My surgeon was recommended to me by a friend who is a Chanel rep. People were always telling me how tired I looked, even when I was wide awake, and I was pretty tired of that! In photos, I looked awful. I was too thin to have... more
