Over five years after surgery I still cannot touch my wife's belly without causing her great discomfort.
you should go back to see your plastic surgeon. If there is a specific trigger point that causes this pain, she may need to be evaluated for a treateable problem such as a neuroma. good luck
I donated a kidney to my father about 5 years ago and I have two children and have been considering having a mommy make over. My question is if the previous scar left from the kidney donation will effect the results of a tummy tuck?
Previous abdominal incisisons such as a kidney donation or a open cholecystectomy are not a contraindication for tummy tuck surgery. They will, however, make the surgery slightly more challenging for your surgeon, and he will have to plan accordingly.
How long after a tummy tuck and body sculpting can another baby be planned? I am a single mom who is scheduled on June 23rd for a tummy tuck and body sculpting. I would like to know how long I should wait till it's safe, in case I decide to remarry and have another child.
As you can read on this forum, most board certified plastic surgeons agree it is best to wait until you are done. I have patients occasionally who have life circumstances that make them want to have the surgery done now, such as a divorce or separation, but who are not certain on wether they will have kids in a future relationship. from a surgical persective, a tummy tuck won't prevent you from having more kids, but you will likely restretch the results. This is a personal decision, and you must weight the pros and cons for yourself.
