“Took 5 Years off - Washington, DC”
Did entire face 3 years ago including eye area. Had brief general anesthesia for pain control at a surgi-center in a major metropolitan area, which probably accounts for the cost. Fraxel does for the skin what no plastic surgeon can do, and I estimate it makes me look about 5 years younger with those skin improvements. I wish I had done my neck and am thinking about repeating the treatment... more
TRUST!!! See below. by the way-- this review wants to me to input a cost-- in total its been thousands, but some was medical and insurance approved, and mostly cosmetic paid by me, so its very hard to say- I will just put a random amount, I don't feel its fair to write an amount because I have had many procedures- for a variety of reasons, so its very difficult for me to name anything... more
“Skin is by Far WORSE Than Original...”
Hi, I had 4 rounds of Fraxel laser treatments a little over 2 years ago in efforts to help fix mild acne scarring and blemish/discoloration issues. I was initially very excited and pleased after the 4 treatments.. my skin was considerably clearer and smoother. I felt so relieved to finally feel more comfortable in my own skin again for the first time in a long time. My dermatologist also... more
“Read reviews at least 6+ mnths after...”
I am now 15 months post 2 Fraxel Restore sessions and must say that this was the WORST decision of my life. I am a 29 Y.O. male that had 3 MINOR acne scars on my right cheek. I was talked into doing my whole face in order to ensure an even tone and texture. The texture I got is the "orange peel" texture everyone is talking about. Here is what causes this: "deleted collagen... more
“Horrible Hyperpigmentation After 16...”
Well, I had fraxel in March 2010. Initially when they put the numbing cream on my face I broke out in a huge hive. I was told that this had never happened to a patient before. My face was extremely red and swollen so I was given a shot of benadryl and they took the cream off of my face and used another type of cream. So I went in for the procedure and just getting the needles in my face... more
“Fraxel Re:store in Washington, DC”
First, I was shocked by the price, I was expecting it to be half that much! But I have been going to my derm for 5 years now and wouldn't see anyone else. I am 36, had the full face and the chest in the hopes of getting rid of brown spots on the chest, and brown splotches, freckles, and fine lines on the face. I am very fair and have, as an adult, been very religious about sunblock so... more
“Fraxel 5 Years Ago - Edgewater, MD”
I have Fraxel over five years ago, in a series of five treatments. I have read many of the negative responses and all I can say is mine was fine but I did a LOT of research. Here are a few tips - Don’t go to a Medispa, this is a laser, don’t let anyone but a doctor use it on you. Make sure they have LOTS of experience with the laser. Just because they are a doctor does not mean they... more
“1st Treatment of Fraxel Re-store for...”
Today I had my first Fraxel re-store treatment and it was amazing! Not as painful as I thought it would be, just some minimal stinging. After the treatment my faced looked and felt like a mild sunburn. Follow post treatment instructions. My physian recommended 4 treatments for skin type, acne scars and sun/age spots. Would I recommend this to a friend, YES! more
“4 Fraxel Face, Little to No Improvement”
I tried four treatments spaced over an 9 week period on the face and found little or no improvement. Waste of money, a year later, no difference. The Fraxel also caused ingrown hairs (male, told to use hemorrhoidal cream) and I browned which went away in about 5 months as I was given a prescription whitening cream. Seriously, for what was advertised and t more
Today is the third day after my first Fraxel re:store. I had mild swelling around the eyes the first full day after. It has now subsided. My face is still a little red and mildly itchy. It feels like it does right before peeling after getting sunburned. I had a hard time sleeping the first night b/c you are supposed to keep your head elevated. The second night was fine. My skin feels a little... more
“So Far, Fraxel Results Are Good”
I had my first mini-fraxel about 6 weeks ago. I was afraid to do the entire session b/c I wanted to see how my skin reacted. The pain was mild and I had very little redness or swelling. I had the 2nd mini-fraxel about 3 weeks later....More pain this time and some slight swelling around my eyes. The mild acne scarring has definitely improved! I had my 3rd full Fraxel yesterday...OUCH. She did... more
