I have very sunken eyes which have become musch worse over time, you wouldn't recognise me from a year ago? and i get tension headaches I went to a plastic surgeoun and he said the fat under my eyes is fine and I wouldnt qualify for restylane, what are my options?? i also had upper blepharoplasty 18 months ago and i think too much fat was taken off , please see photo
The photo you sent does show deeply set eyes, but in some cases like yours I have used about 1 syringe of Restylane per lower lid. Some physicians do not have experience with using large volumes of filler in the lower lids, and is probably why your surgeon was reluctant to do so.
An alternative would be fat augmentation. Fat is harvested from your abdomen, or thighs and micro-injected to your lower lids and midface. You may want to seek opinions from other surgeons in your area who have more experience with this procedure.
I have small muscle/fat(?)pooches above the corners of my lips.I had radiesse to blend them 6 mo. ago.He put too much along the sides of mouth leaving long bulges - and it hasnt gone down!5 dys ago restylane was added under corners of lips and bottom of bulges to smooth.
The Restalyn looks unnatural where its placed and it seems to be a pillar for Radiesse now increasing bulge. Should I have restylane dissolved and some radiesse surgically removed by incision through the iside of cheek? Stressed
Hyaluronidase is the best option to reverse or remove hyaluronic acid fillers (Restylane, Juvederm). Hyaluronidase is given via a small injection to remove Restylane, with results typically within days. The other option is to wait and allow the Restylane to slowly dissolve with time. Radiesse cannot be reversed, and surgically removal typically may cause more damage than improvement. One must wait until the Radiesse dissolves slowly.
Speak with your Restylane injector to help determine appropriate options for you. Best of luck.

I had Restylane for nasolabial lines about 6 months ago and ever since I have had acne breakouts constantly along those lines now with pretty constant redness as well.
The dermatologist did the 'ferning' technique so there were many many injections on each side. I have hormonal acne breakouts but had never had any problems in that area before. Is this a reaction to the Restylane or having so many injections in such a small area? It is extrememly frustrating and I am reluctant to have this again.
Restylane is unlikely to cause facial acne. Acne is an inflammatory disease of the skin, and any irritation such as multiple needs injections might contribute to flare-up. One option to consider, if the acne is really troubling you, is to remove or reverse the Restylane. This reversal may be achieved with hyaluronidase, given via small injection. Only after a comprehensive evaluation can a specialist help determine appropriate options for you. Best of luck.
