I would like my lips to be plumper and have a bit of a pout. They're quite thin (even after using lip liner - as in pics) and the upper lip especially has a very flat look between my nose and lips. Since I have a slight overbite do you think the filler would make my lips look very fake and ducklike? I want it to look natural and subtle. How much do you think I would need and where would I have it injected for the most benefit? Also would you recommend that I get it in my philtral columns?
I think everyone will agree that you have beautiful lips. However, Juvederm can be used to make them look even more defined! I agree that enhancing your philtral columns would help. I would also add Juvederm to the upper lip vermillion border to better define the junction between the pink and skin of the upper lip. A small amount of volume can also be added to your lower lip. You would not need more than one syringe to get the effect you desire. Prevention of "duck" lips is usually determined by the skill of the injector. You want someone who understands lip aesthetics, not just someone who injects lips like filling a sausage. I recommend you ask your injector for photos of treated patients before you choose your physician.
I had Juvederm injected into my tear throught area a week ago and everything went fine with little swelling and no bruising. Yesterday, i felt a hard nodule in my left cheek, just to the side of my nose, under the tear trough area where the Juvederm was placed. I am panicking that some of the Juvederm was somehow displaced from the area under my eyes to lower in my face. Can someone please tell me how this can be removed??
I would suggest similarly that hyaluronidase will solve the problem, but before going that route, do some gentle massage of the area first and give it a few weeks. After that, if there is still an issue, a minimal injection can make a difference.
My doctor told me that i can't be injected now with sculptra because i have been recently injected with Juvederm. My doctor told i have to wait about 5 months, because of some kind of interaction between both fillers.I didn't really understand what he was trying to say.
Can someone tell me more about this, because it seems like a lot of people are injected with both. Or is my doctor maybe too cautious ?
There should not be a problem injecting Sculptra shortly after Juvederm injections. I actually perform similar treatments on my patients. I believe it is nice to give them volume quickly with the Juvederm while they are waiting for collagen growth with the Sculptra.
