Mixed race (black/white) used to be 185lbs,5ft 7in.Suffering from extreme back pain.Am now considering breast reduction after losing 10kl(about 20lbs)to help relieve back pain.
I have operated on many African american pts for breast reductions surgery. There is definitely a higher incidence of hypertrophic scarring in this patient population, but i would say that despite this the vast majority of breast reduction patients are happy to have had the surgery irregardless of the scars. Especially given your severe back pain, it sounds like the sur very will be worth it for you. Good luck!
I have a significantly larger breast. Yes just one. I am a 34 D and 5"2 weight of 138. Im hoping once i stop breast feeding the larger breast will shrink. But i dont want them both to shrink. But should i get the larger one reduced or the smaller one larger? Desperate for advice.
I feel that the most important question you should ask yourself, is size wise, which side do you prefer? do you see yourself as a larger breasted woman or smaller breasted woman? After you decide which side you prefer as far as size, then you can discuss surgical options such as reductions on one side or augmenations on the other to reach your desired look.
Is there a way to make the breasts a couple of sizes smaller, or is surgery the only way to go?
Since most adult breasts are 80% fat, liposuction (which is still a surgery -- although minimally invasive) is a possibility. It will reduce the size of the breasts but not lift them very much, if at all. Weight loss might similarly help reduce breast size. Alas, these options do not deliver the results that a surgical "short scar" surgical breast reduction might deliver.
