a doctor near me has a special offer for $999 "laser neck lift". before i call the office, what should i know about laser neck lifting. is it effective? safe?
The use of a laser such as internal (lipotherme, smartlipo, etc) or external (fractionated CO2, erbium) etc, especially with the conjuction of liposuction, is sometimes termed laser neck lift.
The term is misleading. While there are many good candidates for such procedures, others need a more traditional neck lift which is distinguished by excisions of skin, usually around the ears.
at $999 you are probably looking at a liposuction based procedure. you should have a evaluation by a BOARD CERTIFIED (check on plasticsurgery.org) surgeon to make sure that you are not a better candidate for a lift procedure.
I perform both procedures, and find that people that come to be expecting to be great candidates for the laser based liposuction procedure can sometimes better be served by a neck lift. a proper evaluation is key. good luck
through surgery for removal of parotid gland, my neckline is loose, saggy and very unattractive. What are some options, if any, to tighten and smooth lines and sagging.
Unfortunately, surgery is the only reliable technique to tighten neck skin. The Thermage laser is reputedly successful in giving a modest tightening of neck skin in some patients, but unfortunately, it is only successful in a relatively small percentage of cases.
Igot a blood clog in my neck after having a quick eye and neck lift. What seems to have caused this? My vision seems to have been affected as well. Please help.
It is possilble that you have a blood clot that may resolve or need to be evacuated. In some cases if you have a large enough blood clot that compromises the carotid artery you could have visual loss. You need to have your surgeon and ophthalmologist check it out.
