I woke up this morning with this small blood blister looking thing just below my right nipple. It is the size of a pea and it is worrying me. I called my PS and he told me to pull back the steri-strip that was covering it, put polysporin on it, and cover it with gauze. I am worried it is going to get bigger. I do not see him till wednesday, should I be going in somewhere sooner to get it drained? Do these things heal on their own? I am only 5 days post op. any suggestions woudl help, please!
your doctor gave you the right information. polysporin and time, it will heal fine. These are common under steristrips when the surrounding tissue swells but the tape doesnt give. I have moved away from them for this very reason. You should heal well.
before my wife do a breast implant, i want to make it sure. Can she breastfeed if she had breast implant? no matter with Saline or silicone. is it save for the baby?
After healing, it is safe to breast feed. You should follow the requirements of monitoring silicone implants with regular MRI's. Both saline and silicone implants are safe for breast feeding. A periareolar incision may slightly increase the chance of the operation interfering with your Ability to breastfeed, but not the safety of breast feeding.
At my consult last year, I chose to get silicone implants placed under the muscle, incision in the crease, but still not too sure yet of profile shape. What are the differences in final look and results between smooth round moderate and smooth round moderate plus? I want 500cc but i've read that under the muscle placement somewhat "flattens out" implants; because of this reason would it be best to choose 550cc so that the final result will look like a 500cc? Thank you in advance.
The implants are mentor type implants, and the moderate plus will have slightly more projection and slightly smaller diameter for a given size. Your surgeon will measure your chest diameter and take your goals into consideration when chosing the implant, however I agree that the difference between the two should be minimal.
