Will Eyes by Thermage Help Reduce Puffy, Baggy Eyes? I am a 27 year old female and have had puffy eyes for as long as I can remember. I get bad allergies in the spring which I believe to be a lot of the cause. However, I have bags all year long (just worse with allergies). I recently visited a dermatologist who said she did not believe I had "fatty bulges" but more fluid retention and suggested Thermage. I am desperately looking for a procedure other than invasive surgery and I feel that the bags make me look unhappy and old. Is there any proof that Thermage will work for this? Are there any other treatments that will last a long time and be effective?

A: Thermage for Eyes

Our experience with Thermage for eyes has been overall excellent, particularly with tightening loose upper eyelids. About 90% of patients treated will respond with tighter upper eyelid skin. Puffy bags under the lower eyelids do not respond as well, although can be reduced. Fractional lasers like Lumenis ActiveFX can also be used for the eyes leading to tightening of loose skin.

Will Thermage "Melt" the Fat That Has Been Injected Under the Eye and Tighten the Skin? I have had a fat injection under the eyes about 3 months ago and I have been back to consult my doctor as the fat has lumped. She recommended that I consider a non invasive treatment, known as Thermage. Will this treatment work? What are the risks and would it perhaps make my problem worse? Should I wait for another 3 months before considering any other treatments?

Almost all patients I have seen are diappointed with thermage.

Thermage is used to melt fat, shrink skin, treat cellulite, and every ailment you have. Such miracles do not exist. Be careful.

I feel that if anyone would have benefited from thermage it would have been me. i'm 33 years old and have some "hooding" of my upper eye lids. nothing drastic but it makes me look a little tired, especially in the mornings and evenings. i spent $800, just had my eyes done. it has been 2 months and honestly, not even the smallest improvement! more

“Whole Face Thermage - Too Much $$$...”

Whole face Thermage--wanted a facelift without invasion surgery.Friends said I looked "great!!!" about a month after and surgeon scheduled a photo shot for a year later which was cancelled (?).Saw real benefits about a month after but a year later, I can honestly say, you'd never know I had it done. And the full face Thermage was $4,000. What a rip. more
