5 months now i had septumrhinoplasty. My lip is still big and doesnt seem to have gone down much. My teeth have never met fully since the op. Is it normal for the op to affect my teeth? will my teeth and smile soon return to normal?
Septorhinoplsty should not effect your bite or teeth. You need to be evaluated for that, including the TMJ (Temporo-mandubular Joint) and a dental surgeon evaluation
Hello,I had a Septoplasty /turbinate reduction years ago. I injured my nose and have been having trouble breathing for over a year. A BC PS is going to preform a septoplasty by shaving 1 mm off my upper septum and reducing a turbinate on the same side. Will a revision change the shape of my already wide nose?I'm happy with my nose, but I don't want it to change or be wider! Are there preventive measures he can take to avoid this? I quit smoking 2 weeks before operation, is this enough time?
I doubt it will change the shape of your nose but it's impossible to tell without seeing pictures. I would recommend quitting 3 weeks before and after surgery. No cheating.
hi i´m getting a septoplasty soon to correct a deviated septum and i was wondering if the doctor could just remove the bump on my nose I don´t want to change the change of my nose i just want a straight bridge that´s all
Go for it. It looks like it should be very straight forward. it would be cosmetic so you should expect to pay. If that's too much you could consider a "non-surgical" nose job as well. That is when a "filler" is placed into the depressed area above the bump in order to hide the depressed area and make everything smooth. It should last about a year.
