Personal connection. Dr. Shermak is absolutely wonderful! She is kind, personable and extremely professional. She performed a half body lift on me after weight loss surgery (with a weight loss of 117 pounds-lots of hanging skin!) with confidence and great results. Dr. Shermak is very knowledgable in this area and was actually excited about what she could do with my body. From the first appointment, during surgery and through post op follow ups, she was genuine and caring about answering questions and concerns and wanted to be sure that I was doing well. I had a completely positive experience and the pain was extremely minimal thanks to all her expertise. I would recommend Dr. Shermak without hesitation. Thank you Dr. Shermak!

Dr. Shermak delivered on her word.....visited a couple of other surgeons over the last couple of years before finding Dr. Shermak. Immediately liked her and knew she was my choice _she is warm, pleasant and knowledgeable and is supported by a wonderful staff. She took her time through multiple consultations and answered all of my questions. I have recommended her to several people and when I discussed this with my primary doctor she shared with me that her sge holds a very high opinion of Dr. Shermak and that her work is very good. My suggestion to others getting this procedure, rent a lift chair!

Dr. Shermak was referred to me from a friend who also is a patient. Her staff/team are very professional and courteous. Dr. Shermak has impressive credentials and knows her craft. I would highly recommend her to family and friends without question. I interviewed with Dr. Shermak based on a referral from a friend who also has her as her surgeon. Dr. Shermak has been nothing short of kind and professional. She knows her field and provides you with the confidence you need to feel when having any medical procedure. Everything was succesful with the help of her welcoming and dedicated staff. I never had to wait more than 10 minutes for my appointment and they have been flexible with me in scheduling such appointments. The experience has given me the confidence in myself and the follow up crae has been encouraging and necessary. I would highly recommend Dr. Shermak to family and friends.

Referred through a friend who was also a Doctor, so I trusted her judgement. Dr. Shermak is a highly-skilled plastic surgeon and artist with a sympathetic nature. I felt like she loves what she does as demonstrated by the textbook she wrote on these surgical procedures. My appointments were always punctual, as well as Dr. Shermak's personal response to all of my post-op questions. She was highly recommended to me by another Doctor and I have implicit confidence in her & respect her as an extremely skilled surgeon with an empathetic bed-side manner. I can hardly believe it when I look at my "before" pictures. Like a true professional, she also repaired a hernia she found caused by a prior laparoscopy surgery, knowing my insurance probably wouldn't pay.

I chose Dr. Shermak because I know other people whom she has worked on, and they were all thrilled with their results. I gave her this rating because she was caring and answered all of my questions so that I felt totally comfortable. She followed up after the procedure to make sure that I was ok, and she was completely patient with me when I asked questions. I felt like she was always there. Dr. Shermak is an artist. She is an exceptional plastic surgeon, and her results are phenomenal. I am normal weight, but had a double chin that I couldn't get rid of no matter how much weight I lost. Dr. Shermak performed chin liposuction on me before my wedding. I looked better, but it was so NOT obvious that people could not put their finger on what was different...they just thought I looked great. No one even knew I'd had work done! And, I always look back at my wedding photos with a smile, knowing my little secret:) Others have said that Dr. Shermak is warm, straight forward, down-to-earth, and brilliant, and I agree wholeheartedly. And, her aftercare is top notch. She always checks in with you to make sure you are doing okay. She is proud of her work and she wants you to be happy with your results. If you are having something done, large or small, she should be your first call!!!!

By her excellent reputation. Dr. Shermak performed surgery on my earlobe that you cannot tell it was done. She is a perfectionist. She is very caring and follows through. She made sure I knew how to take care of the lobe. She is very professional and dedicated. Her office staff was excellent in assisting with the scheduling.

Dr. Shermak is an amazing doctor and person. She made herself readily available to answer all of my questions, and I had a lot of them! This was my first experience with plastic surgery and I am thrilled with my results. My scar is barely visible and I was able to get back to my activities in a reasonable amount of ime. Dr. Shermak made certain that I understood everything and explained things in a non-technical manner. She was readily available both before and after my surgery and I would recommend her a million times over. Many plastic surgeons wouldn't even discuss surgery payment through insurance, and are in it for the wrong reasons. Dr. Shermak understood what could and could not be covered under insurance and discussed various surgical options with me, so I could make an informed decision. She was also very willing to explain everything to my mother who assisted me with my after-care. Dr. Shermak is very warm and compassionate person. I never felt like a number, feeling as though I were her only patient. I had the best experience and am very happy to have had her as my surgeon.

Dr. Shermak and her staff did a fantastic job in each and every way. She is an excellent surgeon with a wonderful personality. I was extremely nervous going into the procedure and inundated Dr. Shermak with questions for weeks before I decided to commit. She and her staff were incredibly patient and thorough in addressing all of my questions and concerns and making me feel at ease. Overall my experience with Dr. Shermak was outstanding. I would highly recommend her to anyone considering plastic surgery and I will definitely return to her myself in the future.

Dr. Shermak is an excellent physician, and has put me at ease regarding procedures both cosmetic and medical. I've had excellent results with Botox and fillers, and felt quite comfortable with dicussions leading up to the procedures and very pleased with the results after. In fact, my fillers lasted well over one year, much longer than the advertised effectiveness. I've also had a grwoth removed from my chest area, as well as my leg. The area around my chest is prone to a longer healing process and difficult scarring, but the scar is minimal, and has already faded to the point of non-issue. Thank goodness both removals were benign. Dr. Shermak is conservative in her approach, but not dismissive. Her office is also quite convenient to many areas, and is calming and clean. The staff is kind and accommodating,and quick with a smile.

She has lots of experience and excellent training and credentials. She responds to concerns either by phone or email very promptly. For a long time she did the body work on post bariatric surgery patients. She is current on medical and surgical standards. She has published numerous papers. AND she has common sense.
