A Few More Pounds Than I Would Like Before Mini Facelift, Will It Make a Significant Difference?

I am a 42 year old woman and getting a mini face/neck lift + upper eyes. I am about a few pounds heavier than I would like since Christmas but nothing extreme, that Bikram yoga quickly sorts out so I am wondering if I should just get to actual ideal or ..will this have much of an impact to go ahead and have surgery booked 30 JAnuary ? Deliberating if I need to defer for another 30 day or will it be fine to work with? Surgery is with Basrim Matti who like God.....!Please advise :-)

A: Face lift

Few pounds changes within 5-10 pounds would not make much difference.

My concern is your surgical plan. When you need a mid face and neck lift, then this is a full face lift.

The picture posted does not show the neck well, does it need lipo, Fat removal and platysmaplasty, with or without a skin lift (Tightening).

My advise is to get a second opinion from a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon (American Board Of Plastic Surgery), discuss what are the aging problems and what is the best method to achieve your goals and desire.

There are many non plastic surgeons (who call themselves plastic surgeons) doing face lifts and other cosmetic procedures who are not qualified or trained to do that type of work, except for monitary gain.As mentioned stay away fron branded names for face lifts

Facial rejuvanation is an art and a science (like the art on the wall behind the posted pictures). Proper knowledge of the facial anatomy and vital structures is important to perform a successfull face lift.

Endoscopic Mid Facelift Gone Wrong, Can it be Fixed?

I got a mid facelift a few days ago by a famous PS in NYC. I am 22 years old but had loose skin a very slight sagging of my cheeks. PS said that a mid facelift would help this. He did not however tell me that this procedure would change my eyes. I am very worried b.c my eyes are very pulled up and cat like now. I am so embarrassed.. Does this usually happen? Can it be fixed? Someone please ease my fears as I am severely distraught.

A: Mid face lift

I am sorry that a surgeon would take a 22 years and do a mid face lift. There is no way a 22  has aged enough to justify a mid face lift

As for your cat eyes, wait till all swelling is gone then nsee a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon (American Board Of Pla tic Surgery).

Have your operative report and preop and post op pictures with you for future consultations

If Mid 30s is too Young for Midface Lift, then When is Good Time?

I am in my mid 30s and slender. I am noticing aging in my lips and lower face that is very upsetting to me. I have dimples (2-3 each side) in my lower face. I also have some acne&scarring. Family history of jowls. Fat transfer to my cheeks and fillers to folds have not helped issues. Also, fat transfer surgeon put fat in one of my dimples and now I have an annoying fat pocket. My new MD has recommended fillers and cortisol, but says its too soon for mid lift. I am so bothered by this. Options?

A: Face lift

There is no specific age for surgical correction of aging. The timing is when there is enough aging in the face and you are ready.

Fillers and botox are NOT a sustitute to face lift and do not approach the results of a face lift. Botox fillers are used extensively especially by those who do not know or are not comfortable doing a face lift.

Cosult a BOARD CERTIFIED PLASTIC SURGEON ( AMERICAN BOARD OF PLASTIC SURGERY) for evaluation and thorough discussion with you of all the options , expectations and risks
