Im 22yrs old overweight woman. I've had gapped teeth(i will wear braces soon) for as long as I can remember and I also suffer from bruxism. Over the recent years I feel like my gaps have grown broader; my lips sluggish; my upper lips are 'drooping' so badly as you can see in the pictures. It kind of looks like I have 2 upper lips. Very obvious and embaresing! i cant even see my upper teeth. is the cause my gaps? how can it be fixed? its even uncomfortable to talk i keep licking under my lips..
The gap between your teeth has nothing to do with the length of the upper lip. The pictures posted seem to show a double lip deformity and that can be corrected and you will show more teeth.
I had a lip lift today, and I was wondering if my nostrils are going to be permanently wider now, or if it is just the swelling. I had a bullhorn lip lift performed.
Your nostrils look larger because of swelling. Swelling gets worse over about 2-3 days. Keep ice on the area.
I recently had a consultation with a plastic surgeon about getting the bull's horn lip lift. He suggested that I have the nasal sill lift (which I guess is a bull's horn lift technique?)to hide the scar. I've done some research on it, but there doesn't seem to be much information available. I was wondering what your opinion is on this. I'm concerned with having enlarged nostrils after the procedure, or having a malformed nasal sill. Is this typical?
Your particular anatomy does not fit to go into the nasal sill to hide the scar.
You will do better with bull horn type of incision. Have another Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Examine you in person and give you an opinion
