I think there are many doctors out there that are dishonest and can make your situation a lot worse. However, it is refreshing to know that there are doctors out there like Dr. Le who are not running a plastic surgery assembly line and actually want to help people. I was scared by the projected length of my surgery with Dr. Le, but I understood that it would take a lot of time to fix the numerous problems caused by my previous surgeries. The reward outweighed the risk for me and I am so glad that I chose to meet with and have surgery with Dr. Le.

If I had to list the top five decisions I've made in my life, choosing the right doctor for rhinoplasty would be one of them. Words to describe Dr. Le are knowledgeable, experienced, meticulous, caring, humble, ethical. I'm an Asian male who was seeking an augmentation rhinoplasty back in 2010 and after doing some research and scouring the web for feedback, I went to Maryland to have my initial consult with Dr. Le. As you are well aware from doing your own research, which probably led you to this page, finding and confiding in a rhinoplasty surgeon is not for the fainthearted. Too many patients undergo revisions because their primaries were botched by doctors they trusted. We spent a couple of hours conveying my desired goals, taking photos, and discussing risks and likely scenarios. He didn't promise me the moon and offered no absolute guarantees with the understanding that every nose is different and everybody reacts differently to surgery and healing, but he did offer a highly probably simulation to which he would aim in surgery. Liz the office manager and the staff were awesome as well. As impressive as his technical expertise is, I would have to say that his bedside manners and his concern for the welfare of his patient are even more apparent. Those qualities are the hallmarks of what I deem a great doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Le for nose surgery, without any reservations. If you are looking for a doctor who is one of the most skilled, who doesn't promise lofty unrealistic goals and doesn't tell you exactly what you want to hear, and is humble and caring to make you feel like every post-op visit is your first, look no further.

Dr. Le was referred by a friend who was a patient of his colleague at University of Maryland Hospital. It is unusual to work with a Doctor of his caliber that is as caring and interested about a Botox injection as much as a full face lift. He is simply the very best.

Dr. Le is an amazingly talented and caring surgeon. I was hesitant to undergo a primary rhinoplasty after reading horror stories on the internet about “botched” nose jobs. I, therefore, thoroughly researched surgeons all over the United States and Dr. Le came highly recommended for facial plastic surgery. Three months post surgery, I can attest that he is worth every bit of acclaim. Not only does he have the talent and stamina to perform long, tedious surgeries such as mine, but he has a very comforting and friendly bedside manner and truly cares about his patients. One of the horrors that initially caused my surgical hesitation was that post surgery the nose must be packed with cotton. Dr. Le is so good he doesn’t need to pack the nose; I had an extremely speedy recovery (one week) with very little bruising-which is important in my profession as a busy attorney. My nose looks phenomenal! I receive compliments on it almost daily. It looks natural and exactly like the simulation developed during the initial consultation. What’s more, is that Dr. Le not only aesthetically fixed my nose, he also improved the functionality of it-I can breath better than ever! He is very reasonably priced and spends generous amounts of time with his patients before and after surgery. All of the post operative appointments are included in the original fee, which amounts to an exceptionally significant amount of time with a double board certified facial plastic surgeon-and I never had to wait for appointments or had any difficulties reaching Dr. Le with questions. He is a perfectionist and considers your face to be his “walking sculpture” and I had the impression that he was even more concerned about my nose than I was. Had I known just how good Dr. Le was during my initial consultation, I would not have worried at all about the surgery or the outcome. Anyone considering facial plastic surgery needs to at least consult with this surgeon! I emphatically trust him with my face and would never allow any other surgeon to touch it. I highly recommend Dr. Le.

For several reasons, Dr. Le is who I would recommend for all treatments and/or consultations. Obviously for some, deciding to have reconstructive surgery can be daunting and personal. That being said, for me, I wanted someone who considered themself to be a perfectionist. By perfectionist, I mean someone who truly finds pride in perfecting the most intricate of details. Additionally, I wanted someone who would take the time to listen to what I wanted to have done and also develop a well thought out plan to meet those goals. Lastly, I wanted someone who wasn't going to charge a small fortune to have a consultation. Dr. Le fulfilled these attributes. He has been great to work with and ultimately provided a service that was top notch. All surgeries carry a degree of risk, but when you are dealing with your face and body, we all think of "what is this going to look like", which is for many is the biggest risk. If you are serious about having a procedure done, you deserve someone who won't accept second best. The price you will pay will be very reasonable, comparitavely, but I doubt you will obtain the same pre, intra and post-operative treatment Dr. Le provides with another - that's the truth. Good luck on your decision.

Here are the reasons why I highly recommend a consultation with Dr. Le: 1) Dr. Le is first and foremost a medical doctor. One who cares about the health of the patient in their entirety. 2) He spends an inordinate amount of time discussing, listening, consulting and educating you as to the specifics of your case and options available to you. He is usually very quick to respond to any questions via email or other. 3) He does not flinch at 'hard cases'. Dr. Le takes on cases that most other doctors don't want to touch. He seems to do so out of a true care for who he is treating. 4) He is obsessive about his approach to surgery and meticulous about the details. I consulted four doctors prior to having a revision and Dr. Le was the last. The first two didn't want to touch my nose, the third, spent 10 minutes with me, told me it would be $13k, that he was 'the best' and that it would be a '20 to 30 minute surgery' as there is 'usually just a piece of cartilage in there or something'. Dr. Le saw me for two lengthy consultations prior to surgery, took the pictures himself and spent 10 hours working on my nose during surgery which dramatically improved my appearance and breathing. He will do what it takes to get the best result that he can and *will not* cut corners. Bottom line is this: PLEASE DO NOT take my word for it. PLEASE see numerous doctors and make your own decision. I only recommend that you include Dr. Le on your list if you have the opportunity and decide for yourself.

He is a great doctor who knows what he is doing. In my experience, he does nothing to put his patients at risk. He knows what other plastic surgeons do wrong during their procedures, which often cause problems with later on for these patients. He know all of the correct steps to take and doesn't take shortcuts. If you plan on having any type of plastic surgery done, Dr. Le is your guy.

As I mention in my review of the procedure I had done with Dr. Le, he is very detailed oriented, I did not feel rushed, he took the time to speak with me and discuss what I was looking to accomplish and did not set any false expectations. I would highly recommend Dr. Le (and have) to anyone considering a cosmetic procedure.
