My face is very long, I have both a large forehead and a larger chin. I would not be interested in fillers to make it wider because I feel it would just be huge then. I want to know if a chin reduction or forehead reduction would be beneficial, if yes, which will be more so? Thank for any advice! I'm also aware of the ptosis of my left eye, which I plan to fix as well.
you are not as long in the face as you may believe. consider a tricophytic brow lift - this lowers the hairline, which will have a tremendous beneficial effect on your facial proportions. i think once your forehead is more proportionate your head will appear "normal" size due to restored proportions of upper/middle/lower face
Hi, I have suffered from TMJ pain for about 4 years. I have tried various methods (night guard, soft foods, massage, etc) with no success. I have made an appointment with a mouth doctor. I have a weak/small chin, but not a terrible underbite (jaw wise). I have been considering a Chin implant ever since I discovered it's possible. For TMJ, I understand open jaw surgery is last resort but also that it restructures the jaw and might give me a better chin? Is it wrong to think of open jaw surgery as killing 2 birds with one stone?
If your bite is not contributing to the TMJ pain. Then it is a chin implant and then deal with the TMJ. TMJ surgery will not affect the chin, surgery on the mandible may improve the profile some.
I have several deep dimples in my chin, and I've heard Botox could get rid of them. What do you think?
Botox is great for this, but the effects will only last about 3 months. Dysport is another botulinum toxin that may actually last longer than Botox and some offices probably offer Dysport at a cheaper price than Botox. Good luck!
