I had sliding genioplasty 5 weeks ago to correct a receding chin and short jaw. My profile is now wonderfully improved. However my face, face-on is now too narrow and a different shape and my chin too pointy. It doesn't suit the rest of my facial features and I do not look like me. What could be done to correct this please?
You need to compare pictures before the genioplasy and after the the genioplasty. Analyze the changes in the chin and face . You may need fat grafting to correct certain changes
I have a weak jawline and chubby lower cheeks and neck. Would a chin implant solve all of these or would i also need lipo under my chin and buccal fat removal if i wanted to address these areas?
A better evaluation of your facial features could be given with frontal and oblique photographs, but based on this lateral photograph I believe you would benefit from a chin implant. I never remove fat from the face. Fat keeps the face youthful and as you age you loose fat. Removing it early makes you look aged. The heaviness along your jawline and neck could be addressed with liposuction or ultherapy. Ultherapy is a new non-invasive procedure that uses ultrasound to tighten and lift the skin. You are a perfect candidate for either procedure.
I am 26 years old and am considered to have somewhat of a weak chin. I have undergone consultations with 2 doctors for lipo in the chin area and both have advised I do not have enough fat to remove. One suggested a dermal filler to create a stronger chin. What are the approximate cost differences between an implant, fillers and a fat transfer? Also, which filler is best recommended for this area?
The most definitive way to improve a weak chin is with a chin implant. The use of autologous fat and fillers is a temporary solution or best used to soften the edge of a implant.
