Chemical Peel After Rhinoplasty?

I am thinking of combining my rhinoplasty with a chemical peel to maximise my 3 weeks off work. Is it possible to have the chemical peel a couple of days after the rhinoplasty if I avoid my nose and the bandaged area?

A: Chemical Peels and Rhinoplasty

Yes, it is possible to have a medium or lighter peel as long as the area being peeled is outside of the junction between your nose and your cheeks.  If the peel will involve the lower eyelids, you may want to see how how much swelling and bruising you have after your rhinoplasty to see whether or not your eyelids are too bruised to accomodate a peel, which is unlikely.

One High-strength Chemical Peel Vs. Several Low-strength Peels

To help with pigmentation issues, dull skin, and fine lines, I'm considering having either a series of 3 to 4 7% TCA + 2% salicylic peels, or just a single TCA peel at a higher strength (25% to 35%). What would you recommend? What are the advantages and disadvantages of a series of low-strength peels vs. one higher strength peel?

A: Peels effects are cumulative

The effect of peels is cumulative. Several peels will build and remodel collagen and elastic fibers in the skin as a deep peel.

7% TCA is too week

TCA to be of any effect use 15% one or two layers.

or 35% three layers for deeper peel. Remember if you want to maintain the results then you should continue with the peels, less frequent. and a medical grade skin care product should be started before the peels and continue after the peels

Do Face Peels Contain Natural Chemicals?

I am looking for a natural skin care alternative to Botox. Is a chemical peel made from natural chemicals or manufactured ingredients?

A: Chemical Peels

Skin care is diferent than Botox diffrent than peels. Each has a function and an indiication for use.

Discuss your options with your plastic surgeon.
