I'm 5'2, 34DD & 127lbs. I'm tired of back pains and getting depressed every time I attempt at shopping for things for the upper body. I'm just super annoyed with my boobs and want them gone. Most of them at least. I do everything in a bra, my boobs are almost always tender. I only take a bra off to shower then it's back in another one of these ugly things. Seriously, big bras are ugly. If I... more
I had my surgery to alliviate neck and back pain issues caused by the weight of my breast tissue. Its been 4 months and i have never looked or felt better. I have been able to stop seeing one doctor for my spine because the reduction stopped the pulling on my neck. I never realized how larger breast contributed to so many health issues. I am not completely healed but am well on my way to... more
I am still getting together my personal experience with Dr. Chang to type here. To start, he was an excellent doctor. I knew from the reviews here on Real Self, my extensive research and my initial consultation with him that I wanted him to do my Breast Reduction. I have reviewed numerous PS's and even considered going back to DR for the procedure, but I am so happy that I stayed stateside.... more

I’ve really struggled with writing this. There is so much good information on this site that I wasn’t sure my story would offer any fresh insights. But, due to recent events, I think it may-or at the least selfishly offer me some comfort and support.
And now the stats: I am a 44 year-old woman, 5ft 5in, 180lbs (blek), and approx. 38DDD/E
Unlike many of you, I really did not have large... more
I recently had a breast reduction in March of 2014. Most people may shop around to get several consultations before deciding on which surgeon they choose for a procedure. Not me! I decided on allowing Dr. Schreiber to perform my surgery after only one consultation! Dr Schreiber made me feel very comfortable. He answered all questions I asked and never made me second guess my decision on.a... more
I've always had big breast and a small frame. After my daughter was born and I lost weight they became even more unbearable! Chronic back pain forced me to call for a consultation! Ok....so I have been a stalker since I became a member in 2014. I want to thank all you ladies who have shared your stories, without your reviews I would have never got the courage to get my BR!
My story is the same as many. Had big boobs since middle school. I got it from both sides of the family. So it was no way I was going to avoid them. Went from being flat chested to C cup. From C cup... more
I've always been top-heavy. And every year my breasts would grow heavier and heavier. In the last 18 months or so, I've been in such AGONY from back pain, neck pain (spasms) and shoulder pain. I was prescribed muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatory meds, and given a referral to undergo physical therapy... all provided nothing more than temporary relief of an even bigger problem. So I made... more

I had anticipated getting a breast reduction for years to eliminate my back and neck pain but never found a doctor I was comfortable with until I met Dr. Banks. She came highly recommended by my PCP as well as my breast doctor. She is professional, extremely knowledgeable and beyond kind. She's very direct with what she plans to do and speaks plainly and not over your head. She anticipated my... more
When I went for an intial consultaion for breast reduction, I was skeptical and unsure. Dr. Brent Berley and his entire staff immediately put me ease. They were very professional, yet warm and friendly. Each and every member of his group from first consultation, through the procedure, and follow up made me feel as if I was his most important patient. It was that extra special treatment that... more

I am very nervous about my upcoming surgery. I have so many questions and doubts. I've been reading this site like a maniac. My insurance (Blue Cross) authorized it with no issue. My Dr and I talked about going to a size C. But since I'm 5'3 230 lbs I have about 100 lbs to lose, we settled at a D cup hoping that I'll end up a B/C cup. I'm worried about my breast deflating. We can cross that... more
Apparently it really is! I just had a consultation yesterday and decided on a ps to perform a much needed breast reduction. They took all of the measurements and pictures and said they would submit it to my insurance for consideration. The doctor's office said it would be about 3-6 weeks before I heard anything. I received a phone call THIS MORNING to say I was approved! Only 26 hours later!... more
I can't believe I'm having a reduction in 4 days! I've been looking through this site for a while, but finally decided to share my own story. At my slimmest, 5'4" and 125lbs, I was a large C. After one kid, a very stressful work environment, and having a bit of a love affair with Nutella ;), I'm now 173 lbs. Wish I could lose more weight, but as I've been approved by insurance, I don't want to... more
I have had large breast since about 7th grade. I was always self concious about them and now I am finally getting them reduced. I currently have one child and wear a size 34HH. This is very large for me considering I am only 5'4 and weidh about 150. My original doctor would not recommend me and said I should try physical therapy. This happened last year around Feb or March. Well this year I... more
