A: Everyone scars differently

I have operated on many African american pts for breast reductions surgery. There is definitely a higher incidence of hypertrophic scarring in this patient population, but i would say that despite this the vast majority of breast reduction patients are happy to have had the surgery irregardless of the scars. Especially given your severe back pain, it sounds like the sur very will be worth it for you. Good luck!
