How Do I Fins Doctors Best Qualified for Masseter Botox?

I'm really interested in Botox for masseter hypertrophy. As far as I know, I'm a candidate for this procedure (meeting with a doctor will confirm this, obviously). So, in finding a doctor: Is any doctor who can administer Botox for wrinkles capable of injecting it into the masseter? Or should the doctor perform the procedure on a regular basis? How many masseter injections is a good number? Thanks!

A: Botox can be used for masseter hypertrophy to shape the jawline

Botox injection ot the masseter is a very nice procedure for patients who have muscle enlargement and want to shape their jawline. This is seen often in the Asian population. Not all facial injectors are familiar with the technique of masseter injection, however. Your best bet is to call physician's offices and make sure the physician is the one injecting you. (I am a full beleiver in nurse injectors, but I feel this is an advanced technique and you should see a physician for this.) You will find that after injection, it may tke 4-6 weeks to notice the results. You may also need to return for a boost if you have not had an adequate response. When done correctly, there is little risk to the procedure.

I Have Crow's Feet After Receiving Botox in my Forehead. What Should I Do?

I'm nervous to have more Botox injected, especially to my eyes since I've read much negative about it, including even more exaggerated under-eye crows feet.

A: Botox and Crows Feet

Botox and Dysport are wonderful at treating the 'worry lines' in the forehead.  Once they are gone some of the other lines on the face may become more noticeable.  Many patients will comment they never noticed their crows feet or nasolabial folds until they got their worry lines or frown lines treated.  This is most likely the case you are experiencing.   You can wait til the effects wear off and see if this the case or you can treat the crows feet with some Botox or Dysport.

21 Year Old Seeking Advice For Sagging Face And Facial Depressions. (photo)

Hi Ive had a terrible cheek biting habit since I was 9. I would constantly pull down on my face to bite the inside of my cheek. Now at 21 Ive noticed that I have frown lines, and the left side of my face hangs slightly lower than the right. I also have these slight depressions beneath my eyes. Is this irreversible? Im so embarrased by this and it is weighing heavily on my self esteem. I am experiencing depression as well. What are my options to fix this so I can feel like the old me again?

A: Fillers can be used to treat minor facial asymmetries and hollow eyes

You appear to be a beautiful young woman who should not be depressed about these minor facial irregularities. Fillers like Restylane and Juvederm can be used to treat the hollow area under your eyes and to restore your facial symmetry. This can be achieved in one easy office appointment. I do not believe that your lip biting has caused the facial sagging. Nevertheless, please make sure you seek professional help for your depression.
