Physicians were notified today that Evolence was immediately pulled from the US market. Why do you think J&J took this action?
Evolence just never got over the 25 million dollar mark. It never took off with doctors or patients. Perhaps because it was animal based. Perhaps because it required a lot of material to mimic the correction of fillers already on the market. Perhaps because it required a lot of massage and if that was not done, lumps were very common. In the end, the marketplace just never embraced the product in its current form. Evolence Breeze may be better, if we ever get it in the US.
I would like to try Evolence for a bit of volume in my cheeks and for my nasolabial area, but I have acne scars and would like to try fractional laser. It has already been paid but I have to wait till October to do it because of the sun. In the mean time, I would like to do Evolence this September. Does fractional laser remove the effect of Evolence? Thank you.
The use of a fractional non-ablative laser after filler has been studied and found to be safe and have no detremental effect on the filler. Combination treatments such as this have been found to give better overall results than any one procedure alone. Good luck.
I heard that Evolence lasts longer, but it can cause lumps that can not be dissolved like HA fillers can. If this filler is not recommended, what would be a good filler to use to fill under eye hollows?
Evolence is notorious for lumping and must be quickly massaged. The thin skin in the eye area would increase the chances for lumps. My favorite in this area is Restylane.
