Will Dysport Wear off Quickly if I Am Practicing Bikram Yoga Regularly (3-6 Times a Week)

I had a question. I tried Dysport for the first time for forehead wrinkles. I am very happy with the results. However, practice Bikram Yoga 3-5 times a week. Will the product wear off faster since I practice Bikram Yoga?Bikram Yoga is practiced in a 104 degree room an "clears" the body of toxins. It is a very strenuous activity. I've read that people who exercise reguarly have the chance of botox/dysport wearing off quickly.

A: Exercise has no effect on the longevity of Botox or Dysport.

Exercise has no effect on the longevity of Botox or Dysport. For that matter nothing can change the effect of these materials once injected. That is why it is important that they be injected by an experienced expert.

Does Dysport Have Diffent Side Effects Than Botox?

I have been getting botox for over 5 years, in my recent visit I tried the dysport. In the last aprox 6 weeks later I had to see my eye doctor to find out that I have the jelly detaching from my right eye. I know this can happpen with age but as far as I have read it should not happen till age 65, I am 55.

I have been getting my botox and the recent dysport from the same nurse trained under the doctor for about a year with no problems. Other than this my results are great. Please advise: should I switch back to botox or stop treatments? Can this type of drug travel into the eye? Thank you.

A: Both are safe, with same adverse events reported

Both Dysport and Botox are FDA approved. In the clinical trial, the AE's reported were similar. I would defer to your opthalmologist regarding your future neuromodulation treatments.

Dysport in the Same Quantity As Botox for the Same Result?

Should I have the same number of Dysport units as Botox for the same results?

A: The units are different for each one

Dysport comes in 300 units in a vial and botox comes 100 units/vial. The most common dose for the Botox is 20 units/area and for the Dysport about 60 units/area. This will vary from patient to patient (220 lb man v.s 120 ld female ). The amount of units also vary for different muscle mass , strength and group.
