I have been considering a breast lift, but am concerned about scarring and loss of sensation in the nipple. Today I found a procedure called the "Semielastic Scarless Serdev Suture Breast Lift". It appears that Dr. Serdev uses sutures to raise and secure the breast. I can't find any doctors who do this in the US. Couple of questions: 1. Does this really work, and is it practiced in the US? 2. How long do the results last? 3. Is the cost on par with traditional breast lift methods??
Breast sagging involves skin, breast tissue and breast attachments to the chest wall. Using treads that have failed in the face lift and other body parts will not work. Patients that have sagging do not like what their board certified surgeons recommend and look for scar-less alternatives. If there were a technique to avoid cutting on the breast,we would have been offering it to our patients. Board certified plastic surgeons always looking for the innovations to provide the latest safe and effective techniques to our patients.
I have consulted with two board certified plastic surgeons in regards to having full abdominoplasty and breast lift. One surgeon said all I would need is a Benelli lift, the other said I need a full "anchor" lift. Why is there such a discrepancy? And why not a lollipop? After having 6 kids, and breastfeeding all of them, I just want my breasts to be back where they once were, and to stay in my bra when I lean over!! All of this just seems to get more confusing... Please help!
You have lost a lot of the breast volume. Your nipple position is in good position in relation to the inframammary fold. I would recommend silicone or saline high profile implant to replace the lost volume. The concern with lift is the scar and the complications with combined procedure. If you are willing to be large c cup, implant only would be the best option. You may need breast lift down the road and the staged procedure will give you better result with less risk.
I am 3 weeks post lift and feel like I had a reduction. I have gone from a solid C-D to a small B and no cleavage. My PS says I am swollen in the sides and will fill out through the middle. Is this normal? My PS is already saying we can add implants so this leads me to believe I have an issue. Should she provide the impants at no or reduced cost?
The breast lift involves only limited skin removal and not volume reduction. You may need implant if you want to be bigger. The result of the breast lift depends on the technique and the shape of your breast before surgery.
