24 Hours After Botox, my Left Eye is Drooping is This Normal

I had botox injected between my eye brows and just above my eyebrows just 24 hours ago, I have noticed that my left eye above my lid has some drooping going on, so what could be the problem ?

A: Eyelid Droop- uncommon but temporary

Eyelid droop is an uncommon side effect of Botox injections, even in the most experienced hands.  Typically this take 3-10 days to develop, is temporary and often significantly clears in 6-8 weeks.  Some patients find OTC Naphcon-A eye drops will improve this, or a prescription from your physician for Iopidine eye drops can help until this undesirable side effect wears off.

How Long After Getting Botox Can I Get More if I'm Not Seeing Much Change?

I have deep forehead creases and I got my first botox treatment (12 units) about 7 days ago. I am noticing a slight change but not much. How long should I wait to get another treatment? 7 days, 14 days, etc?

A: Maximum Results for Botox about 2 weeks

Results for Botox typically start to take effect in 3-5 days, with peak effect around 2 weeks.  Results will generally last about 4 months, but some patients can see results up to 6 months.  We generally recommend a 2 week follow in all first time Botox patients, and for any patient that feels they may not have had optimal results.  Also keep in mind, to get your best results, Botox needs to be injected into the proper muscles at the appropriate dose.  Always be sure you are receiving treatment from an experienced physician who is Board Certified in an accepted field of aesthetic medicine.

I've Been Using Botox for Four Years Now and As I Look at my Eyes, They Seem to Look Smaller and Smaller. Why is This?

Also, I've noticed my already hooded eyelids look even heavier...I really believe this has something to do with the injections. But why?

A: Botox does make eyes smaller

You need to loo at the older pictures and compare them to pictures now. the eyes will age like other parts of the face. The best thing would be to get a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.
