A tragic experience. NEVER let a general dentist move your teeth with Invisalign. I did and now my teeth do not meet properly and I have chronic jaw pain. NEVER let a general dentist apply interproximal reduction! I did and now I have malocclusion and TMJ. Leave moving teeth to Orthodontists who have years of training that general dentists do not have. more

At first I really didn't mind the trays and then I got the "buttons" and I hated them! I started questioning my decision to get Invisalign.
I had braces when I was younger, but like most, I didn't wear my bottom retainer. So now at age 32, I am doing this all over again. =(

They didn't tell me that they file your teeth on both sides to allow room for them to fit better. I ended up having a gap. They take much longer than expected, months longer. My teeth have gone back some, so it didn't last. Toward the end they put a permanet retainer on to help for a while, and it chipped by bottom 2 teeth. Should have goen with regular braces. more
So I turned 26 and got engaged. I had braces when I was 12 but after wearing my retainer for two years I stopped once I was in high school.
