A mini-facelift goes by a lot of different names such as Short Scar Facelift, Mini-Facelift, Limited Facelift, LIfestyle Lift and Quicklift, to name just a few. In reality, these are all similar operations that are less extensive (in both the operation and the result) than a traditional full facelift. This limited approach has its place but only in the properly selected patient. As a general rule, if you have jowling and just a littrle neck sagging, then a limited facelift can give a satisfied result. But if you have a lot of neck issues, and the neck is the biggest problem, then a full facelift is a far better approach. Also remember that a mini-facelift affects only the lower face or jowl and neck areas. It needs to be combined, and often is, with many other procedures such as eye tucks, browlift, and skin resurfacing, to get a more total facial refreshening.
