Does This Sounds Like Swelling or a Hematoma?
i recently just had my one week post op visit and my ps said that my right breast has already relaxed, but my left one is still tight with some red bruising around it (that has now turned into a dark color)and its also a little bigger than my right... he said that it could either be that my muscle is still swollen or that I have blood around the implant... he wants me to send him a pic in 4 days and if it's still the same, I have to go back in for surgery to have the blood removed... How will I know?
A: Post-op breast asymmetryBreast asymmetry soon after surgery may represent swelling or bruising of the breast tissue or muscle but it may be a hematome as well. Small hematomas can be hard to diagnose on clinical exam so I don't think you can substitute a picture for an exam. Usually an ultrasound will help make this diagnosis and I would suggest another exam and an ultrasound if there is any question before a decision is made about going back to surgery.
Chose Implants That Are Too Large...how Soon Can I Change This?
I had moderate profile saline implants filled to 425 for 15 years.I always disliked the lack of projection and that they were too wide for my body. I was a very small C. I thought I wanted to be a D so my recent surgery was a change to 550 mod plus salines filled to 625. I feel a lot of pressure right now and my implants are sitting very very high. How long must I wait for a redo if I feel confident that I should have gone for mod plus implants filled to 525. I fear I will be larger than a D
A: Revision of Breast Implant ExchangeSince you are a replacement of existing breast implants and not a first time breast augmentation patient, your perception about size and how you feel about them is a lot more accurate since you had a known implant size starting point. (you are now 50% bigger by implant volume) I would give it 6 weeks and see how you feel then. If there has been no change in your perception about size (not pressure), then you could downsize at that point.
My Breasts Are Too Far Apart, Will a Breast 'Lift' Help?
I'm a 10D or 8DD and feel they are too far apart, I can fit 3 fingers in the middle before the tissue begins to thicken. They are not saggy at all and I'm happy with the size. Is there such a thing as a breast lift inwards? How much would this cost and what are the options/complications? They look amazing in a push up bra but in a bikini they dissappear out the sides, any info would help :)
A: Breast Lifts Will Not Create CleavageThe definitive answer is that no form of a breast lift is going to create cleavage or lessen the sternal space between the breast mounds. This is what bras can do as you have observed.
