I had lower transconjunctival blepharoplasty three weeks ago. The results between my two eyes are really uneven. There is a big crater in the outer corner of my right eye that is not present on the left eye. I'm already thinking that I will have to revise the right eye - maybe the left eye too if it sinks in more. Can the corner of my right eye (left in photos) be treated with filler or fat grafts, or another treatment? I am happy with the result directly under eye, just need to fix corner.
At only three weeks after surgery, it is way too early to passing judgment on the result as it is still evolving. You need to wait at least three months and six months would be even better. If the amount of apparent overresection of fat persists at this point, you can consider synthetic fillers or the placement of a small fat graft for improvement.
I'm a young 24 year old but I have really bad Hollow eyes. It has been hard to find another case like mine, but I found one that is similar to me. I want your opinion on this case. What procedures would you do? Would it be as effective
While there are a variety of volume addition options to the tear trough area, the first place to start is with injectable fillers. You want to be certain that actually filling the area will create the effect that you want. Any of the hyaluronic acid-based fillers will provide a quick answer that is completely reversible. If you like the effect created then you can decide if repeat filler injections, fat injections or a variety of implant materials are a better option.
I got a blepharoplasty three weeks ago and one of my lower eyelids is drooping. I am 58 yrs old and in good health. I am putting ointment in my eye and taping it into place every night and massaging it several times per day. After the first week, the eyelid came up a bit but no progress has been made in the last two weeks. My surgeon says she can put a stitch in the corner of my eye to pull the lid up if it does not improve. Is this the best way to fix it? How long should i wait?
In the management of lower eyelid ectropion after blepharoplasty, three weeks is still early. Taping and massage are good early measures and often can be enough for a few millimeters of lower lid sag. Even if not, they buy time for inflammation to settle down and healing to occur. If it fails to correct itself on its own after three months, then surgical correction will be needed. This can be done by tightening the corner of the eye as your surgein has suggested.
