I had a breast reduction almost 8 wks ago and I am not happy with the size my breasts have turned out to be. They are just so much smaller then what I thought I was gonna have. I went from a 42 G to a 42 B. My dr and I discussed the size I was wanting and her and I both decided on a D..but they are no where near it and all she wants to keep telling me is true results won't come for a few months down the road..Is this the case? Thank you.
While it will take to the six month after surgery mark to get to the final shape of your breasts, the size of your breasts are not going to dramatically change or get bigger as the tissues settle. It may well be over time that you will adjust to the new size and the change may not be as dramatic as it is right now. But it appears that there was a miscommunication as to expectations between you and your surgeon. At 6 months after surgery when all has healed that would be a good time to revisit this issue with your surgeon and see what the recommendations are.
My Breasts Are Size 36 J I Have Had a Reduction Before 7 Years Ago Can I Have Another Reduction
Having a prior breast reduction makes the consideration of a second one easy. The breasts already have existing scars which can simply be re-used in a second procedure. There would be no additional scars, only new ones which replace the old ones. You would be expected to have a similar experience with just as much improvement in size and symptoms as the first time. While it is not common for women to need a repeat breast reduction, I have seen and done a few over the years. All have done well and achieved a better breast size.
I have slight back pain, indent marks from bras, and my large boobs make it very difficult to exercise. Not to mention it is nearly impossible to find bras. Insight would be much appreciated!
Regardless of your height and weight, any women with H-cup size breasts is going to have musculoskeletal symptoms of back, shoulder and neck pain. Even without seeing you, it would not be unreasonable to assume that a breast reduction would be medically beneficial for you. Whether a breast reduction and some of the associated issues with it is right for you can only be determined by an actual examination by a plastic surgeon. Similarly whether it may be covered by your health insurance requires a pre-determination letter submitted by the evaluating plastic surgeon.
