Are my Breast Implants Way Too Far Apart? I'm 1 Month PO. (photo)

It's been one month since my breast augmentation procedure. I'm happy with the size and shape, though I would consider going slightly larger. Part of the reason I would consider going larger is in the hope that the gap between my breasts would be minimised. Changing sizes would cost a great deal of money, which I'm hesitant to go through with. Are there any alternatives? Do you think they are too far apart? Any honest advice would be greatly appreciated.

A: Breast Implant Spacing and Cleavage

While your picture is distorted by having your arms raised, any concern about implant spacing should be given more time for healing and your adjustment to them. Remember that breast implants merely increase in size the way your breasts were before surgery. So I suspect this is a good result for you based on where you started. It is likely, which is common, that you believed your implants would create cleavage when they will not almost regardless of size. Most certainly you should never go up in size with the belief that it will make your implants closer together.

Are Implants Ok to Get for Someone Who is 24 Years of Age?

I am 24 years old. I am now a 34B i have wonderful curves and backside, however I am not happy with my breast size. Is there anything that i can do to increase my breast size without surgery?.. if so would the side effects be dangerous?

A: Appropriate Age For Breast Augmentation

Breast implants are FDA-approved for anyone over the age of 22. While it is surgery and they are not eprfect, they are very effective. There are no known effective methods of breast enlargement without surgery. Supplements have no proven studies that demonstrate their effectiveness and their safety, unlike breast implants, has not been substantiated.

Saline Implant Rupture After Mammogram, What Should I Do?

I feel that my saline implant is smaller and that happened a little while after my mammogram. I was given more than the normal amount of xrays due to the fact I am a breast cancer survivor.

A: Saline Breast Implant Rupture

If there is any question about a breast implant rupture/deflationm, you should return immediately to your plastic surgeon and have it evaluated and replaced if necessary. All breast implants from either Allergan or Mentor have lifelong replacement warranties should they need to be replaced due to shell failure. If you are more than 10 years after surgery, you will get a new pair of implants but will be responsible for the surgery costs should it have been an original cosmetic procedure. Within 10 years from surgery, you will also get some money towards the surgery cost besides a new pair of implants. If your surgery was done through insurance for breast reconstruction, then a failed implant will also be covered as a reconstructive procedure.
