Dr. Severinac is now offering Motiva silicone gel (gummie) implants. The Motiva implants have been used in over 86 countries in the past 14 years and were approved by the FDA in September of 2024. Dr. Severinac had offered saline implants for nearly 30 years remaining cautious about the safety, longevity and performance of earlier silicone options. This all changed with the Motiva implants showing less than 1% device related complications and over 97% patient satisfaction. The implant design features a 4 micron nano surface that makes it difficult for bacteria or macrophages to stick to its surface. This is believed to lead to the lowest infection and capsular contracture rates. The cohesive silicone is bonded to the surface of the implant making it more stable with very low rupture rates.
