Should I Choose High Profile Implants or Moderate+?

I`ve been consulting three different doctors, but thay seem to disagree what is the right implant for me. I`m 5,6", 124lbs, ribcage about 29" and breast width +/- 4,7" (some assymetry), hips 32". I want nice, sporty looking boobs, not too big but definately not too wide or flat. Also I don`t wanna look like I`m all boobs. I`d like to achieve som nice projection, while maintaining a quite natural and perky look. I`ve been considering +/- 325cc. Thanks for all help I can get:)

A: Choosing an implant profile

The implant profile is not as important as the volume. The high profile implant has gained popularity recently but it is secondary to choosing an appropriate volume for your chest size and skin dimensions. Typically high profile implants are chosen for patients who would like to have as much volume as possible but have a narrow chest diameter. Whether a Mod+ or High profile implant is good for you is something determined after a full consulation and taking measurements. Having a so-called "natural" look is very dependent on not having a too large of an implant - no matter what the profile is. Discuss this with your surgeon.

Implant Profile and Position Dilemma

I have above-muscle saline implants(270L/330R) since 1994. I had tuberous breasts. I am 5'9, 155 pds. My breasts are very far apart (5 fingers). I want appx 550cc silicone. My doctor would like to leave them above-muscle and have them be mod+ profile. I know that mods are wider than mod +. He says mods are flat like pancakes. Does mod + sound right for me? How about his desire to leave them above-muscle? Nearly all his procedures are submuscular. Won't I sag? I am 38 yrs old

A: Breast Implant Exchange

There are many options here and without an exam it would be difficulty to give you accurate advice. However, one concern is the jump by about 200cc in implant size. The additional weight will definitely contribute to future "sagging". That is more important right now than the pocket. Having implants above the muscle if  you have enough tissue coverage is not bad. Sometimes switching to below the muscle with the additional surgery involved increases your risks. That, of course, would have to be considered along with what has happened to your breast shape and position since 1994. Have you had pregnancies, weight changes, etc? These are all things that your surgeon will discuss with you prior to recommending a final surgical plan.

Should I Get Breast Implants if I Plan on Getting Pregnant Later?

is it recomended to have breast implants before having a child? how will the breast look after breast feeding? i just want my breast perky but very natural. i feel i have a lot of extra skin on my breasts. i want to see what the doctor recomends for size.

A: Breast implants and pregnancy

Many women get breast implants before having children. It is safe to do but there are risks to consider and discuss with your surgeon. Once you do become pregnant the changes that happen to your breasts will be more dependent on your genetics than your breast implants. Some women have minimal changes with pregnancy. Others will see their breast size increase significantly while still others may see their breast volume actually decrease. Changes in size will contribute to sagging and excess skin which can result in the need for a breast lift after pregnancy. Having implants before pregnancy will not change any of that. However, discuss the timing of your surgery with your board certified plastic surgeon. If you are considering getting pregnant in the near future, it may be beneficial to wait. Otherwise, having breast implants will enhance your chest and give you more proportionality. Sizing is something that is determined based on the measurements taken of your chest and the tone of your skin at your consultation. Being proportionate is key in having a good outcome long term.
