Still Have Jowls / Double Chin 2 Months Post Op Neck and Face Lift. Will It Improve?

I still have jowls and double chin. Loose skin is better than before.

A: secondary treatment for residual jowling post facelift

If there is significant jowl fat and neck fat after your facelift a procedure called microliposuction may help. I perform this with small cannulas an local anesthesia only. Some improvement will be evident after swelling and slight bruising resolve in a few weeks. I find other options less effective.

Is the Position of Earlobes Changed After Face and Neck Lift?

I had a face & neck lift in August 2010. The position of my earlobes has changed. I cannot wear my earrings because my right ear peirce is further away from my face than my left ear. The earrings do not hang right and look odd.

My right earlobe is very stretched and is attached to my neck, it is still sore after 8 months. My left ear is a little stretched. I have very little feeling in my face at the sides of my cheeks and around my earlobes. I have scars completely around my earlobes.

A: earlobe correction is possible now

Your change in earlobe position is correctable by secondary revision surgery. This condition is often called a "pixie ear" and is best corrected after about 6 months or more post op. See your surgeon about this; most are happy to repair this for minimal or no cost.

Mid Facelift, Mini Lift or Fillers for Marionette Folds and Slight Jowls at 37?

hello,i m 37 with quite ok skin quality(no deep wrinkles, few fine lines etc.),i always looked young for my age, however,in the last 2 years my face which was always quite round and a bit chubby(depends on my weight) start to look gaunt in the middle and the heaviness became more predominant around my mouth and jowls(plus the corner of my mouth are downwards)which makes me look older and almost "masculine".Which procedure would be the best option for me??

A: several good options

At 37 you may not want a midface or MACS lift yet and you can achieve an excellent result in revolumizing the face with fat transfer or Sculptra injections, both of which will also improve the overlying skin tone and texture. Botox will improve the downturning at the corners of the mouth, and HA fillers such as Juvederm and Restylane can also help for this area and the NL folds. Finally Ulthera, Accent RF and other skin tightening procedures can also add measurable improvement to the lower face and jowls without surgery, and defer the need for facelift for several years or more.
