32 Years Old. My Allergies Are Making Me Looking Tired. Can Blepharoplasty Help?

I get enough sleep, drink lots of water, and eat healthy. I have allergies and sometimes i get sinus pain under my eyes and on my head. The blefaroplasty will solve the problem of my bags under my eyes? thank you.

A: seek effective allergy treatment before eyelid surgery

Before considering blepharoplasty, good control of allergy symptoms, including eyelid edema (swelling) and inflammation are important measures to ensure normal healing. If there are "bags" and wrinkles and pigmentation problems surgery will be helpful, along with a laser or chemical peel in many cases.

Droopy Lower Eyelid After Lower Eyelid Surgery

I just had my lower eyelid surgery for about 4 weeks already. My doctor says that my lower eyelid will go back to its position after it heals. I hope this will be true. Please help me what will going to happen with this kind of appearance of my eye. Do i need another surgery??

A: Massage will help

Your degree of scleral show is not too severe and often  this will resolve with regular upward massage of the lid several times daily for 3 to 5 minutes. As lid tone improves so will the lid position in most all cases. You do not have ectropion (lid margin everted) and do not need revision surgery at this point. Stay with your surgeon until this is resolved, or seek a second opinion from a qualified facial plastic surgeon or oculoplastic surgeon if it will ease your mind. Good luck.

Blepharoplasty Vs. Laser Resurfacing for Under Eye Lines?

I am a 31 year old female who has under eye bags and fine wrinkles . I recently seen a surgeon who recommended between 2 ways of doing the Lower eye Blepharoplasty. One was was under the eyelid with Erbium Laser resurfacing. I am unsure if that will help very much with under eye wrinkles Option 2 was the standard way with the cutting and removing excess tissue. I have been researching I can't make a choice , Do you have any advice for me to help me choose

A: Under eye bags versus wrinkles

A transconjunctival blepharoplasty will address under eye bags or pseudohernias quite nicely, while a simultaneous conservative laser peel can improve fine wrinlkes of the eyelid skin safely. I frequently do both together, and avoid ant external eyelid incisions.
